I see “variants” as just being a part of the natural progression of the disease.
Couldn't it be argued though that the more exposure that a virus gets then, the faster the likelihood of variant/mutation?

No. Because there is actually less evolutionary pressure on a virus that spreads successfully.

I suspect what is happening now is similar to what happened with the Spanish Flu:

The severity of the second wave has been attributed to the circumstances of the First World War.[84] In civilian life, natural selection favors a mild strain. Those who get very ill stay home, and those mildly ill continue with their lives, preferentially spreading the mild strain. In the trenches, natural selection was reversed. Soldiers with a mild strain stayed where they were, while the severely ill were sent on crowded trains to crowded field hospitals, spreading the deadlier virus. The second wave began, and the flu quickly spread around the world again.
So good jorb politicians, epidemiologists and quacks.

It's not a truly amazing life hack, but yeah, check your local pharmacy late in the day if they have any pfizer leftovers.

India has different names for the drugs so not sure what medication the team was pointing out. Oxygen prices have also skyrocketed at the same rate.
Sounds like you bought a medical degree from that country.

Just so I don’t sound like an absolute retard, I asked to clarify. People are gouging redyx, that’s the brand name for remdesivir in India. They’re buying it off the black market to bring to hospitalized family members. Just like what we call AZ is widely known as covishield there.

A decade ago that would have taken on a weird meaning to me.
