Maybe it's because 1/3 of my job entails troubleshooting and diagnosing, but I still like to know for knowledge sake. If a part fails, the end result is the same, I replace it, but I still like to know why it failed. Same goes with my health. The end result is staying at home sleeping until I'm better, but if there's a diagnostic tool I can use to see what exactly is wrong, I'll use it, especially when it requires almost no effort on my part.

It doesn't. Like I said, for curiousities sake. It doesn't benefit me to find out it was a worn out bushing on an IDG either, but I just like knowing.

We have been dealing with colds and flus for years and generally nobody tests or cares. So what makes the need to test for "covid" which is at this point nothing more than a cold/flu for people?
