I'm much less concerned about the second shot. When what how whatever.

How are the doing the second shot? Do they check to see if you have already gotten your first shot? How does this work?
Everything is recorded in AHS so there's a record of you getting your first shot (not sure how snowbirds/US people work though). So when you go for another shot they'd see which vaccine you got and when.

Also looking at the forecasted deliveries even with Pfizer alone and 0 deliveries from any other manufacturers AB will have enough doses by the end of June to 100% vaccinate everyone 16 and above. Given that not everyone will take it that means by Canada day we have to be onto second doses for everyone. If Moderna keeps to its 6m schedule by that same time frame we could be at 80% with first dose and 75% of those people with their second dose. Anything J&J and AZ ship is just gravy at the point.

If the US shares even a couple mill doses again there's a real chance that Canada is fully done it's vaccination program (minus kids) by the week after Canada day.

Taking my mom in for 1st shot this afternoon. Dad supposed to get his 2nd next week but he fouled up the 1st appointment so the 2nd becomes his 1st.

As AB is now #1 in infection rate in the country, shots in arms is urgent.

See some new verbiage on the Covid vaccination that if you are super duper pinky promise 2B (another subcategory of phase 2) you can call 811 and get booked for shot 2.

Its only for a very small group of people that data has shown the vaccines don't take as strong. It's certain cancer/treatments and immunity related issues IIRC. It's not all of 2B and please don't try to use it if it doesn't apply to you.

So far the number of people getting infected after their 1st dose is incredibly low so there's really no reason to at this point.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manit...tion-1.5987387

In the two weeks after receiving a first dose, when the protection of the vaccine hasn't yet set in, 162 people out of more than 192,100 reported COVID-19 infections — or roughly 0.08 per cent, according to provincial data.
Outside of that two-week period after receiving a first dose, when the vaccine has begun to confer immunity in most people, provincial data shows the ratios of those infected or hospitalized were even lower

About 0.06 per cent — or 111 people out of about 192,100 — went on to test positive 14 days or more after receiving a dose, and nine ended up in hospital. Six died, the province says.
Given that 9 out of 111 people were hospitalized which is far above the average for covid (and 6 out of the 9 didn't make it), it's likely those people had significant health issues anyways.

Well I didn't need to bend the truth even a little bit due to my advanced age. But I would not at all discourage people from doing so in order to get vaccinated as quickly as possible .
Shots in arms is literally all that matters. Age groups and risk groups is now totally irrelevant.

I am OK waiting for another month or so to get my Covid shot "fair and square".
I honestly don't feel the need to lie and say I'm 2B eligible. But for those who wants to, good for you and here's a cookie?

I totally agree that it should be open to everyone, but because of how the system bookings are right now, I don't really want to lie through my teeth just to get the shot. Personal preference.

As a bonus, some of the nurses are smoking hawt. If you like that sort of thing. A couple even seem to have dressed up to make the process more enjoyable. I thank them for thier service.

My nurse had pretty eyes, but was a bad kisser.

When I had a throat infection and went to my university's on-campus medical clinic, I had the HOTTEST brunette doctor ever who saw me. It was almost out of a porno, seriously. She had shiny long hair with slight curls, in a purple dress with heels and a doctor's coat jacket. Walking around, clicking those heels on the floor, and talking very sweetly to me and making conversation too. Man, I would have asked for a prostate check if I knew I was going to see her

Wait, what? What is @tirebob doing then?! He could have a gentleman club beside the tire shop. Maybe a Joint Venture with Tint Tech.
    You know, to create jobs.
Not much into the peelers, but a scotch and cigar club might be something I would warm up to!

Something stinks about that article... Manitoba has had a total of 38,000 cases, I don't know where they are getting their 192K case figure from.

True, they seem to leave out a comparison of how many non-vaccinated people got infected during that time.

tirebob found a way to take old used tires and fabricate a material that is surprisingly more realistic feel than silicone. When you work at tireboob's, you get free implants but the catch is you must work there for at least 12 months or you get charged the cost of the boob job if you quit earlier or get fired for cause. Good news is that bob is a nice guy and all the girls are happy working there.
