No but it would reduce the stress of the individuals who are being isolated knowing they have some level of protection. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My sympathy about subs is non existent when they literally told my wife to go on CERB for 4 months last year rather than give her hours. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They basically took their sub base out back and shot them, and NOW they are whining about lack of staff

That isn't unique to teachers. Bus drivers, grocery store workers, etc.
Its always nice to feel special, but at this point there's no justification for any form of prioritization. Open up the eligibility completely as fast as possible.

That isn’t the problem. I’m only eligible to receive a vaccine at my worksite. Not eligible outside of work yet. Too young. The AHS clinic at work runs today, tomorrow and Tuesday. I’m isolated for all three days. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Why would they be prioritized when they al rejected the new learning plan, back of the bus for them

I know a teacher on mat leave through pandemic. Heading back to the school for the last 5 days of the year. What the fuck for?! How many people are going to be hating her? It's almost comical when she can extend her leave easily.
How many people have family that are eligible (65+) but have all said not getting vaccinated, firm no because it's the young people spreading it around?
Sounds like I may never see my family again or I risk killing a few of them off. Especially once everything opens up.
Anyone else unbelievably frustrated?
While I don't know anyone like that, I know far far too many "vaccine shoppers" who don't want AZ.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I feel good that I helped convince a 59yo yesterday that he is eligible and that the AZ reduced efficacy is nothing to worry about.
He booked and is in tomorrow morning, so that's great.
*Getting Pfizer, so I think that's the main reason the booking was tolerated by the vaccine shopper, but still... Small victory.
I know a lot of people who are smug about getting Pfizer as if it’s some kind of Louis Vuitton purse or something

I feel like if you've been eligible for the vaccine for 8 weeks but didn't get it and now get covid you should be refused assistance
Exactly. Vaccine priority is not a reward for the job you have, it was to make sure those at highest risk of severe outcome got protected fastest. Now that we’re through that subset, the shift should be made to just get sheer numbers. Giving teachers two weeks before general population so they feel special, then grocery store workers, then bus drivers, then maybe everyone else would just bottleneck getting our numbers upThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I mean everything will open up so they will feel they don't need to get vaccinated. Problem solved, right? Young'ns are vaccinated so they won't spread it like an airborne std.

I'm surprised at how many 45-65 year old farmers I have been talking to are either getting the vaccine, or been vaccinated. I know they're more at risk due to their age and whatever health conditions they've managed to accumulate over the years, but I would have thought they'd treat covid like it was something dreamed up by the liberals out east. For most of them, it's not even something that needs to be questioned. They act like it's just another thing that needs to get done.
On the other hand, a lot of them have taken a liking to spending winters in Arizona, and a vaccine might be a lesser evil than having to endure another Saskatchewan winter.

Farmers are use to vaccinating their animals, no reason to fear it themselves.
It's not farmers who are the nuts, it's the acreage people.
So are they planning to get any more AZ? It's inevitable I'm going to have get one of these shots once it opens up for me. I'd prefer the AZ f I can get a choice.
