Covid Tracker doesn’t use the correct population data and hasn’t corrected it for some reason even though it’s available. The Alberta.ca percentage is the correct one

The 38k shots that are listed as unknown on the age breakdown get counted in the total, they are just excluded from the age categories. I’m guessing typos, not filling in the box when giving out doses or out of jurisdiction additions to the total

They are looking to hit 70% of those 12+ with a vaccine; since no vaccines will be given to anyone under 12, every dose administered in Alberta counts to the total. So while they can’t nail down which specific age bracket these doses belong to, they can be counted towards the total since they were administered

From their description it sounds like ab gov is doing their count different from other provinces? The adjustment on covid tracker is ab only.

Covid tracker is a fine tool to try and compare us apples to apples with other provinces.

Less good tool for gauging our current levels and reopening strategies.
