And to me this explains the hesitation. Almost no one thinks they're actually going to win the lottery but the only one's they try to have a positive outcome for winning.

FFS. CMA now advocating for redirecting more vaccines to Ontario and Quebec from other provinces.

    Fuck this country.

    https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/canada-s...pril-1.1591254

Alberta could be the hardest hit province by every measure and there is no way CMA would advocate the same for us.

It's 1 in a million shot. Even more remote if you have dicks and balls.

At this point, it isn't the government but NACI is doing the gatekeeping setting AZ at 55-64.

The provinces are pushing to drop that BS and get shots in arms.

They also need to finalize and advertise the pan-Canadian Vaccine Injury program.
    https://www.canada.ca/en/public-heal...t-program.html

Pay whichever insurance company to underwrite this and set payout to $1M on death or something. That'll get people out.

Anyone come across good information regarding the vaccine for woman that are pregnant?

In my limited searching, information/data seems to be hard to come by.

My fairly intelligent and fairly pregnant friend who works in the testing lab here had zero qualms and got hers this week for an anecdotal response.

Regardless, of guilt, I don't need to worry about it any longer, pharmacy decided to cancel my appointment that was for tomorrow and I don't know why since I filled out my pre-appointment details this morning
Pharmacy finally provided an update, they decided they didn’t want to be in the Covid vaccine delivery anymore and cancelled all their appointments

I had three take aways from last night's press conference

    1. AHS is coming down on "waste lists" for people who aren't eligible under the proper criteria and pharmacies shouldn't (see: cannot) give them to just anyone to use them up. This is retarded IMO, get shots in the arm.
    2. They are currently in discussion with Health Canada about expanding the criteria for AZ to help move the supply. I know if I could get it I would definitely sign up.
    3. Apparently they want to have the first shot in everyone's arm by the end of June but no real time line on when they will expand the eligibility criteria to actually make that happen.

I thought this was an interesting article to put the risk of blood clotting from J&J or AZ into perspective.

    TL;DR
The risk of developing a vaccine induced blood clot (vaccine induced thrombocytopenia) from AZ or J&J for people with low platelet count is 1 in 250,000
The risk of developing a "regular" blood clot if you end up being hospitalized with COVID-19 is 1 in 5
The risk of developing any sort of blood clot in your life if you are a woman between the age of 15 and 45 is 1 in 3,300
That risk is increased to 1 in 1,600 if they are on birth control.
If a woman is pregnant she has a 1 in 300 chance of developing a blood clot at some point in the pregnancy.

A user a few pages back described the different mechanisms of clotting but as a high level risk assessment of clots in general I think these numbers speak pretty loudly.
Basically 20 cases in about 7 million shots saw an adverse effect 6-13 days after it and its treatable if they know what it is. If left untreated then yes it could have severe outcomes.

So Moderna is indeed cutting their shipment but Pfizer stepped up and doubled May to 2 million doses a week; June to 2.5 million doses per week; and July increased as well. Looks like Pfizer is going to hard carry this pandemic on their back.

No offense to anyone who got dedded, but the numbers are so small it's not even worth discussing.

Yeah, this seems very much to be "not worth the hassle" for the pharmacies.

I mean. Most people CAN get AstraZeneca. That’s been made pretty clear.

The only people standing in the way of shots in arms are government “stages”.

Offer some inane carrot like “you can use gyms again once you get your shot” and watch all the meatheads change their tune.
Not the first needle some of them would have taken that week.
