The solution to this is to make the penalties for faking your immunization records extremely severe. And throw the book at a few people to scare the rest.
Make a QR scanner like BC. I already have mine and the scanning app is readily available. Going back to laminated paper copies of official documents is classic Alberta though.

This. I can't figure out why these guys are just so resistant to easy and secure solutions.

I think a more sensible policy would be tax.
If people do not want to get vaccinated and if they end up in hospital or ICU. Treat them. But give them a invoice after. If they die, the debit is still payable by the estate.
I think eventually AHS coverage for COVD may be become exempt for the unvaccinated.
Easy solution for this is bring back healthcare premiums but exempt them for people vaccinated for severe diseases.

I’d blame AHS for that one, for the provincial government we are reasonable ahead of the curve on things like digital motor vehicle insurance etc.

Remember the outcry from the left when it was suggested we have AB Healthcare coverage expire for non residents? Hopefully integrating AB Healthcare onto ID cards becomes a thing soon as it was being worked on before the world went to shit.

Its so stupid they didn't include it. They made a site so you can pull up the card directly without the app or logging into myhealth. So clearly the data is already there. Why a QR couldnt just link to it makes 0 sense.

    https://www.albertavaccinerecord.ca/#/

Link works without the wait of the app if anyone wants.

They’re only putting the program in to make it look like they’re trying, they’re making it easy for the kooks to fake the paper work and still be included in society lol

Small obstacles can be enough. We live in a world where people order "food" to be delivered from 7-11. This new obstacle is apparently causing more people to book vaccines, and that's really the only goal.

    Yay finally!

I printed my Alberta one today; hopefully bc businesses recognize it. Because I really miss Alberta registries... That's been a shitshow, how many trips to change a dl / get healthcare changed? I'm at 4 and they seem to just spend their time looking for reasons to say no.

Well right now we only have one day of data on that so we shall see Monday night if the trend continued and see how many seats hairdo picked or lost …

Not even sure if the post context here, but have some rep.

    Thank you! *Tips hat.
See the name that someone modified their vaccine form to? It's building on that. That's the joke.

I've gotten covid and i have asthma and i wasn't hospitalized. I was able to self medicate using vitamin D, CDB oil, cold fx and lots of fluids. Although I'm not against vaccine , i just don't think restrictions can be handled differently.
Almost a carbon copy of my situation. I'm severely asthmatic and have a couple other small issues related to allergies

Except I didn't use anything other than Ibuprofen and Acete...acetim...asss....fuck it, Paracetamol, lots of whisky and sleeping pills

I had a Variant of Concern, but they don't tell you which variant.

Funnily enough, of the people in the household, one didn't get it and one didn't have a variant...

Infant fared the best, he didn't have any discernable symptoms, literally good as gold and had been teething the week before, so either asymptomatic or its less bad than teething!

Myself and my B-I-L were next, slight headache (which I actually attributed to a hangover lol) and tight back muscles (related to Covid? who knows, we work hard lol)

After that it was my F-I-L who had a runny nose and a sore throat (he didn't have the variant but was the original infection due to some idiot at his work)

Then my wife, who was in bed for a most of a day with a migrane level headache

Then my M-I-L, was floored for 3-4 days, migranes, sickness, muscle pain and a cough

Of these people, excluding the infant, guess who was most resistant to going for their vaccine?

Fucking born and raised Albertans man, different breed!

I thought they said that there were working on that, and it will be implemented in October? I'm all for giving them shit, but I thought the paper versions were short-term until the QR code was implemented.

End of April, I did post about it back then but I don't think I went into all that detail

Side effects of the vaccine for me were worse than actual Covid, but the isolation for 2 weeks was brutal...especially since by day 3 i was perfect again lol

Mine was around that time too, end of April. They didn't tell me if I had a variant or not. I've been contacted a few times after being notified I was a close contact and tested negative each time.

This is why I will refrain from a vacinne for me personally. I slept in the same bed as someone with covid who was vaccinated after that and didn't get it either.
