    Farmers are use to vaccinating their animals, no reason to fear it themselves.
    Thats my parents mentality. 0 hesitation and they got AZ the first time it was offered to them (62, healthy) I was actually surprised. I genuinely thought they'd have waited for one of the other ones to be available but they just wanted it done and feel safer.

    So are they planning to get any more AZ? It's inevitable I'm going to have get one of these shots once it opens up for me. I'd prefer the AZ f I can get a choice.
    Yeah, Canada has an order with AZ that'll start shipping in June. All the other AZ doses to date have been sourced outside our actual initial purchase of them. We should have millions of AZ doses arriving in the next couple months.

    I hope we follow Ont/Qc plan for the rest of the rollout. I'd like to get mine asap but waiting my turn. Apparently there are 30k unclaimed appointments currently in AB. They should just open it up.

    Significant Jump This Week in Reported Injuries, Deaths After COVID Vaccine

    Between Dec. 14, 2020 and April 23, a total of 118,902 total adverse events were reported to VAERS, including 3,544 deaths — an increase of 358 over the previous week — and 12,619 serious injuries, up 2,467 since last week.

    ---> https://childrenshealthdefense.org/d...covid-vaccine/

    ------------------------

    Now for EU Data

    8,430 deaths and 354,177 injuries following injections of four experimental COVID-19 shots

    --->https://healthimpactnews.com/2021/84...d-19-vaccines/

    Of course we still don't know what these non-FDA approved Experimental shots will do Long-term as well. Vaccine makers have zero liability if one dies or gets injured, the only manufacturer of a product who has that special privilege. Aren't we all so glad...

    Got my result this morning. Negative for Covid again. I think that’s the 6th test I’ve done in the last 3 weeks. Leaving camp today via motor coach to get to my car in Edmonton. Then finish my isolation at home. Still hoping there’s a way to get the vaccine at home since I’m eligible at work.

    The chances of you having a false negative are extremely, extremely low.

    1239 parking tickets issued at the Telus Convention Center since they opened it up for vaccinations. Turns out the ‘free parking’ is only good for 90 minutes. Haha suckers.

    I was on the phone with Calgary Parking about this today, since my wife apparently doesn't know her license plate number and got a ticket for those days. CPA said they have cancelled EVERY ticket issued in that parkade for that timespan, regardless of reason. The call centre person admitted they have no way of knowing who was parking there for what reason, and they couldn't reasonably sort through the excuses, so they all just got cancelled. Handy tip, if jo to the online payment portal and if you got one, you should now have a status of "closed withdrawn" and a $0.00 due amount, so you can't pay it by accident or anything.

    Somebody's crying at CPA about all the lost revenue.

    I got a kick out of the 90 min free, I blazed through the gigantic lineup and it still took me over an hour in and out. Can't even imagine how it would be like if the lineup was even a tad slower.

    It was well over 90 minutes many of those days. Although funny enough, the day my wife was there with the incorrect plate, the infraction notice shows she was inside for exactly 54 minutes. I was around 50 minutes the day I got mine too. But I walked the 1.5 blocks from my office.

    Some shitty marth:

    1.339 million Albertans have received at least one dose + 134k doses still on hand + 236k Pfizer doses this week + 236k Pfizer next week + 117k Moderna doses next week = ~2 million people or just about half of Alberta. If I had to wager then this Friday they have to announce opening eligibility to the general public, likely for the following Friday or so?

    Though knowing Alberta's lack of consistency through the pandemic they'll fuck up phase 3 and announce age tiers like Ontario/Quebec and continue to screw over younger health people.

    Tiers kind of make sense. If you just toss the gates wide open, you’ll probably just wind up crashing the system. Five year tiers with each group getting a day or two to book would probably keep the load manageable

    Also, @pheoxs I think we were both pretty close to our prediction last month. I think it’s something like 34% of all Canadians and 41% of 18+ with at least one dose today

    Need them deliveries. Doses per day is trending down.

    A day or two is fine to spread out the demand but Ontario is doing a week per decade which seems excessive.

    Probably also starting to run through having enough people to vaccinate. Once it opens to everyone they’ll go right back up again

    That was more likely me. If you're red, I'm happy. It just makes it easier to play "Spot The Nut Bar". There's no need to make you a big red streak.
    When someone reps you back into green, maybe I'll pay attention again. I'm sure that'll happen soon. I'll wait here.

    No one is repping that guy to green. Certainly no one with any rep power.

    Isn't mRNA vax are the only one we are getting for the next month anyway?
    For now, yes. But doesn't mean other windfalls won't be available like the last AZ shipment, and more AZ and JJ is set to come for June.

    Doesn't make the NACI messaging any less ridiculous.

    NACI messaging is a shitshow.
