Like when your source of information is from the leader of the party you support saying cases are no longer linked to hospitalizations, we are open for good, etc. Etc.

The messaging of ‘get vaccinated’ fell flat after any impetus to get people vaccinated was taken away and finding excuses to not get vaccinated are being touted by both the party leader and members of his government.

This. He has felt like a female his whole life, trapped in a boy's body. This was NOT his choice; he's had to deal with a lot of people discriminating against him or at the very least, simply not understanding him and making him feel like an outsider. It's been very difficult. That's the whole reason for me bringing up the example - it isn't even remotely comparable to someone who puts themselves in a poor position by choice.

In addition, him expressing himself as a woman isn't hurting anyone - but people not getting the vaccine are making a strong contribution towards keeping Covid prevalent, which in turn literally costs lives. If you can't see how others might be inclined to be a little miffed at the choice you and likeminded people are making to voluntarily contribute to the death toll as well as businesses bankruptcies due to the restrictions, I just don't know what to tell ya...

The last time i check, it was the govt that shut down stores, even before a vaccine was available. There is no way that unvaccinated people have contributed to that because its really only been the last few months of the 4th wave WHICH was caused by the lax restrictions by the govt. They made it ok to just walk around with covid and no isolation even if you have it. Don't go pointing figures at the unvaxed for that, i thought you were smarter than that.
