After my Moderna shot I went out and hit a bucket of golf balls, let the blood pump the poison around my body. My arm was mildly sore for a few days where everyone else’s was ready to fall off. After my second dose I’m going to do arm day.

A decent meal and good hydration is solid advice for every day, and especially any day where your body may be working a little harder on internal work. Plan some extra rest the next few days, and don't worry too much about it. If you have a strong immune response that makes you feel truly shitty, then that's just how it goes.

Hydration is important as for any shot. Also try to still use your arm during the day afterwards as it'll feel less sore the next day. Lift some light weights or something the day of, but after you get your shot, to work the muscle and it'll help ease the next day soreness.

Some people do get fatigued / flush / sweats. It's not common but also not rare (I think 5-10%) so best to have a rest day the next day incase

I went and did endurance races with the steering set to full force feedback. Arm wasn’t a problem for me, 2 days of chills and low energy after was annoying.

You're far more likely to get a day or so of symptoms after the second dose after your immune system has been "trained" what to do, so hopefully you just end up with a sore arm for a couple days after jab #1.
