I'm closing in on a half a century on this mudball and I've never heard the term jab as a noun in the context of receiving a needle, only with reference to a boxing punch. My disgust is not of one specific connotation such as this but rather society's attitude that we're all so thin-skinned that the term "shot" makes some snowflake triggered. I don't think Ive ever actually heard anyone making that connection between needle shot and gun shot. If you search through the thread Tonytiger and xtrema have been using the term for months. Tony being British, and I don't see xtrema as an ultra left snowflake either.

If "jab" truly is the common term used globally for the administration of a vaccination or anything else by way of a needle then that makes sense, but if it's the woke crowd crying in their soy latte about the connection to firearms as suggested by vengie then I reiterate...give your balls a tug...lol (not you specifically, just the broad "you")
