Definitely getting the ass kicking today with the second Moderna dose I didn't get with the first Pfizer one. Sore back, achy muscles, tired as fuck and the injection site is super sore. All things suggest it will end fast but today I am working from home to be sure.
I've heard a similar story to most people. First mRNA shot is nothing, second is bad, and opposite with AZ, first shot is bad, second is nothing.

So if you get AZ first, then mRNA, you get it bad both times, which is what the limited studies are hoping means it's better efficacy that way.

I know people that got mRNA and no reaction for either shot.

Basically any combination of vaccines with any combination of reactions, I know somebody that had it.

Reactions to the vaccine is the new icebreaker.

Phrased as "how did you feel after getting DP'd?"

I got Moderna first shot. No issues outside of a noticeably sore shoulder for a few days. On Monday I got Pfizer and outside of a sore shoulder for a day absolutely no issues or side effects.

I had Moderna for both shots, besides a bit of a headache and generally feeling tired that day I felt nothing else. My wife also had Moderna, and was full on sick both times with a fever for a couple days after. It is different for everyone.

Yeah yesterday I woke up with a bit, but as the day progressed it got worse. Laid down in the afternoon for what was supposed to be a couple minutes and woke up 4 hours later. Read for a couple hours and back to sleep again and slept through the entire night. Woke up this morning feeling pretty much 95%. Just a little sore at the shoulder still.

Oh, also... Did anyone else get serious intestinal issues from this? I mean I am not 100% sure it is from this, but I had a good full day of cramps and the squirts.

Delta variant spreads easy, resistant to antibodies.

One vaccine dose: not good against Delta variant.

Two doses: good against Delta variant, but not quite as effective relative to other variants/“regular” Covid-19, but still very effective at both reducing spread and severity of infection.

ELY5: Get vaccinated, hope everybody else gets their two doses as well.

Bobby yeah getting the squirts is a common side effect. No worries as long as it goes away with the rest of them.

This paper examines the effectiveness of 3 types of antibodies at neutralizing the Delta variant.

    1. Monoclonal antibodies, which is a therapeutic “manufactured” IV of antibodies produced against the spike protein. One of them you may have heard about is Regeneron. They found reduced binding and ability to neutralize delta from the monoclonal antibodies.

    2. Convalescent serum. This is the antibodies in the blood of people who recovered from COVID infection 12 months ago. This would be the “natural” immunity group. Their antibodies were 4x less effective at binding to delta compared to alpha (UK) variant.

    3. Serum from one and two dose Pfizer. This is the induced vaccine immune response group. One dose barely had any binding. Two doses gave a neutralizing response to delta in 95% of the tested sera. The antibody titers were 3-5 lower for delta than alpha. This means that it requires a higher concentration of the antibodies to neutralize delta compared to alpha.

    A Plea from Vaccine LongHaulers

-they want medical community to recognize them and find a solution

-they continue to suffer in silence without treatment

-they are weeks to months out from getting the experimental jab but still suffering symptoms

-thousands who suffer with debilitating symptoms and leaving many with the inability of work

-they are finding doctors who do not know how to help as it is not a recognized issue by the CDC and FDA and many doctors refuse to see them if the vaccine is mentioned as the possible cause

-they refuse to be dragged out into political debates about the pandemic but many are afraid to speak out due to intense social pressures and denials

-they have gathered online to try to help each other but their websites and groups have been deleted and the sufferers are told no such reactions to vaccines exist.

Same, 1 pfizer 2 moderna, got the second poke yesterday and woke up with terrible body aches. I could probably numb it a bit with tylenol and go to work but I'd be miserable and unproductive anyway so stayed home today.

Not the poke man, the hangover from the poke lol

Funny thing was the pharmacist even warned me it would fuck me up unlike my first dose and I dismissed it as bullshit yesterday
