The unvaccinated 60+ group is still by far disproportionally using up hospital resources. Impose restrictions on pensioners - mask wearing, travelling and testing, etc. Everyone else is extremely low risk, vaccinated or not. Let er rip.
Your recent post is what I replied to actually. Do better. But regardless, still out. Enjoy. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yes because those are the only options, A) Full on free market capitalist or B) Bureaucratic wasteful inefficient low quality trash. We might as well just go with a system full of problems and issues just to avoid thinking? No question you're a leftist hey? Feel free to wake up to reality and see the grey area in the world. It's not all black and white like you think.
The only reason the government needs to exist is to manage things that can't be managed by free market, like roads and street lights. And ensuring the freedoms and interests of the population are maintained. Seems pretty cut and dry that you would use government to set some ground rules where there is potential for people to get victimized. The interesting thing is that you think it's better for all of us to be victimized by the government, just to circumvent a potential situation where some people get victimized by big business.
There was never any doubt that you didn't understand simple economics, your post history proves this extensively. Didn't need to confirm it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There are certain things the gov't is the best way to get them accomplished: national defense, some infrastructure, justice system, law enforcement, among others. But make mistake, they still suck at those things.
That was exactly his point from what I gather. I'm not sure why everyone is trying to write him off as an idiot? He is presenting pretty rational and relevant viewpoints. Still hung up on his original math biff maybe? Which he has since corrected(whether one assumes that is genuine or not?). Clearly not a troll. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They're useless as far determining that our level of fear should be high. But it does have some relevance to know in comparison to hospital cases, as that is what will tell us how pointless these restrictions are. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Inside an ICU where 70 per cent of COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated

Doctors say obesity and diabetes do appear to put people at higher risk of severe disease, but the biggest risk factor is those who have skipped getting their vaccine.
In Canada the unvaccinated make up less than 13 per cent of the population.
At Toronto General, which cares for the sickest COVID-19 patients, 70 per cent in the intensive care unit are not vaccinated.
“In our units we're seeing about two thirds of our patients are relatively young, unvaccinated and are showing up with severe disease,” Ferguson said.
Those who end up hospitalized tend to fit two profiles: unvaccinated people with little to no comorbidities, and those with some protection from vaccination but also other risk factors that caused them to be more at risk.
“We consistently see the sickest patients either not being vaccinated at all, or having an underlying immune condition which doesn't allow them the opportunity to benefit from vaccination,” Granton said.
