I know it hurts, man. But I fear we just don't have as much in common as I had hoped coming into this...

I have a buddy who thinks this virus is an excellent method of culling the herd and improving the breeding stock of humanity.

I personally just think old people dying is good for young people, but this virus has been brutally inefficient at killing old people in countries that matter.
I think the shitty part of that viewpoint is that, God forbid, if someone in his family were to die from COVID, you can't really respond with "Well, humanity is one step stronger without that guy hanging around."

My heart, she breaks! Does it help that I have both my shots? I do believe in science, just not Gov't control!

    .

Interesting. So from your perspective, living in a "free country" means you do what you want even if it costs lives and careers?
Yep. And people do that all the time in Canada anyways. To arbitrarily draw the line at this specific instance (covid) is mildly amusing.

Of course, you can protect yourself, and YOU should. That's called personal responsibility. And why America is greater than Canada as a country.

With the way Americans haven't been showing personal responsibility by protecting themselves, I don't think you can say that's why America would be a better country.

Similarly, Alberta has been showing the least personal responsibility in Canada, so does that mean all the other provinces are greater?

On an interesting side note, I have had a possible small vaccine reaction that I had never heard about. I notice within a day of getting my second vaccination that all my tattoo's started swelling and getting incredibly itchy and painful. I didn't think to much of it because anyone who has tattoos has experienced mild versions of this, especially with fresher tattoos, but I have had tattoos going back 35 years and never has it been like this. After talking with a local doctor of internal medicine he did in fact confirm it is likely from the vaccine reacting with the antibodies my body has already created to do with the inks in my system over the years. He asked if I noticed any one colour reacting more than another and in fact the black was reacting more than any other colour. If it was constant or if it flares up multiple times etc (which is does throughout the day), is there and actual rash (no) etc etc.

Again I should point out there is no 100% tested confirmation this was why it was happening, but the way it all is happening and the discussion with the doctor does lead me to believe it is quite reasonable to assume it as such. He said it should start calming down as time goes on and it has. Not completely yet but much less so than the first few weeks.

By no means should this deter anyone as it isn't something dangerous or debilitating more than simply irritating, but I thought it was interesting and worth mentioning anecdotally.
So the last few days things seemed to have calmed down but the bam! In the last couple hours just sitting at my computer I started feeling some hot spots and itching start to develop on one of my tattoos and this came up! Super swollen and itchy as fuck. Also got another one at a totally different spot that does not have a tattoo. Doctor said that might happen and pretty much means my antibody system or some shit is kicking into some kind of hyper drive. Not pleasant…

I'm no Rocket Surgeon but I assume this to be some type of auto-immune response?

Yeah, there's been a long understanding of rare but well documented events of vaccines causing reactivation of dormant viruses (ie: HPV,HSV) and immune responses like this. Never heard of the tattoo correlation, and having none myself I didn't know that inking causes antibody development.

That is my understanding. Should go away but for the last few weeks it has been itchy hot hell when it flares up.

I think you an only buy the weak ass 0.5% cream in Canada over the counter, but it's better than nothing haha. In the USA you can buy 2.0%.

I developed dyshidrosis after my second moderna shot. Shit is super annoying. My FIL's face swole up about a month after his second pfizer and no treatment has worked thus far. Just got diagnosed as gram negative antibiotic resistant infection. So not sure if related to the vaccine or not. Timing is just very suspicious.

Have you spoken to a doctor to called 811 about it? Dyshidrosis isn't listed on the AB site under adverse reactions. Might be worth wasting the time on 811 so at least its recorded/tracked if it is a result of the vaccine.

If you have some form of Eczema, don't use steroids.
Ask your doctor for Eucrisa. Works good but expensive if you don't have health coverage.
