That's my understanding as well - basically, we are all going to be exposed to covid at some point. It's just that we all react differently to it - some experience nothing, while others may ultimately die from it. And that's where it's a personal choice to vax - because we don't know how our bodies will react.

I think the ultimate goal is to reduce the number of hospitalization rate/death to a manageable number based on our health care system. At that point, we can all continue with our regular lives, because if someone got covid at that point, we would have enough medical equipment to help them out.

Pretty much this. We are all going to get it at some point. The vaccine helps reduce you from potentially dying/going to ICU. To more of a cold/fever.

Got the Phizer at the AHS place. Quick in and out really. They said should hear by email or text in around 4 weeks time for follow up on second dose for same vaccine.

I just got mine hand written on their paper lol. Guy told me here is your vaccine passport. Thanks?

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be skipping it.

Just that I think the important hurdle was dose one. Dose 2 is gravy.

Much more important in my eyes to get everyone at least a first dose so we can work on getting back to normal sooner.

4 weeks? Pretty sure it’s closer to 4 months unless they have changed anything.

Anything after March 19th should be 4 months wait, but they've already broke that rule a few times from what ive heard. So it's anyone's guess.

The official rule is essentially outside of phase 1 (super old people) we wait until either everyone in the province has been offered a first dose, or 4 months for Pfizer/moderna. Whichever comes first.

Basically I would wait for an announcement that the government is satisfied that everyone who wants a shot has received it. Then we start the rat race all over again. Likely mid to late June.
