For us AZ'ers, it would be nice to get the second shot in the manufacturers recommended timeframe, since they don't want to give first shots anymore.

AHS shows eligibility for a second dose ending after 4 months. (all brands) This is going to turn into a shit show, guaranteed.
The manufacturers are limited on the claims they can make. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Meaning, as people start getting close to 4 months from their first shot, the government has committed to making vaccines available for their second shot whether or not we have reached our goal of offering a first shot to everyone by then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. So aside from super old people ( say 4-5 years older than Buster ) who have been getting second doses this whole time. That 4 month clock puts us at late July / early August from when phase 2 started where we will need to start giving second doses by. They currently plan on being able to do this by some time in mid to Late June.
The 4 month guideline only becomes applicable if our current plans slip by 1-2 full months. Basically, don’t get hung up about it, you are in all likelihood going to get your second shot well before 4 months out. It just might be a bit later than 1 month later. Maybe.

Pfizer engaged
My reception got better
Isn't AZ 2nd shot manufacturer recommendation being 12 weeks? So if you got it in Apr, you are probably looking at July anyway. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The question is what's the shelf life of AZ shots being delivered now?
I am volunteering to administer vaccinations at Telus starting this weekend. Looking forward to stab any Beyonders who come to my station.
Between 4 and 12 weeks. Studies are showing 6 weeks as being optimal so far. 6 months unopened cold storage shelf life. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Don't know about AB. Ontario seems to want to wait and see how the mixed doses study come out of Oxford in May before they decide on next step. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sounds like they want to get AZ people onto Pfizer/Moderna train if study is positive.
I don't care what the second shot is or when I get it.

Colleague in Houston got her 2nd shot 5 weeks after the first. 2nd shot was a tough one she said.
People in most parts of the USA who want the second shot are getting the second shot in pretty good time. Don't look over the fence, it's not doing you any good.

Cold Garden giving out free beer with proof of vaccination.
I’m looking over the fence. Decided to hold off from AZ vaccine because I was anxious about not getting a second shot.
BC not booking first Pfizer dose for 30-40 range until mid June. Wife working at hospital here still hasn’t been offered second shot.
Can book first dose in Seattle on Friday and get second dose June 4 for on the way back.
