I will speak up and walk the talk more than I already do, borderline petty if I need to as long as it's for the general good. I won't care if it gets attention or makes me look a bit silly. Better than to ignore or pull cell phone out and film.

I kind feel I do this already but always room for improvement I'm sure.
Just want to be a better me everyday.

I had planned to put the phone down more in the evenings to be more "present" for the family. But have a 24h project running right now so I'm on the phone more than ever. #mixedblessings.

My main goal is keeping my work life balance on point and not letting my ambition be the death of me. So easy to burnout and lose track of time when pure commission.

Increase my win rate at the casino.
You should make a goal to stop going to the casino, rather then increasing your Winrate, I'm saying this is the nicest way possible, if you are playing ONLY poker (Absolutly no House games) i'm still going to suggest you don't play unless your making a sustainable living off of it already.

Coming from someone who has made a living from cards for over 10 years, I don't think people undestand how much effort has to be put in to get to winning and increasing ur Winrate (ROI, Bb/100 whatever you want to call it)

I highly recommend you stop playing though.

I used to set a lot of goals every year from Life, Health, Traveling but I realized I just forget about them in a few weeks or months.

With that said this year, I'm more interested and want to learn more about economics and other factors that drive us, I don't care about being right or wrong in my predictions but I want to not lie to myself and see all the possible outcomes.

    1. To NOT partake in debates/discussions/arguments about anything that's controversial with strangers on the internet (if I wouldn't talk about it at work, I won't talk about it with strangers)
I agree with this so much, and it's something I've reallly tried to ignore but with that said I'm willing to have arguments with people I know who are able to argue for either or both sides (For and against) on a topic, I think it's really informative to see both sides.

I'd say more as in I'm willing to be wrong and admit it if my logic does not make sense at all though, But ignore those that can only see 1 sided arguments only and their logic is so fucken stupid and flawed and me trying to show them the light, I want to stop that.

So learn about the sides for both without having a right/wrong answer but willing to see both sides of the arguments and making my own decision on what I "Feel" is right or wrong without bias.

Agree! I think balance is super important, something I used to ignore.

While money is important and I only have myself to blame, take it from me, your relationships are more important.

Who needs a resolution when you consistently improve every day?

I gave up on ot a long time ago lol I havent skated in I dont know how long, but I've fucked myself up so many times trying to do it, I just stopped.

As for my resolutions, so far so good. Im going from eating a bunch of junk every night and a medium iced capp every day, to fasting from 8pm on and 2 iced capps a week.

Hoping to get the iced caps down even further, but its only day 11. I'm at my heaviest(fattest?) I've ever been since being laid off in November, so I gotta make some slow changes.

Edit: I've also been walking an hour a day(about 4km)so thats something else

As someone that literally goal sets and helps people for a living that would definitely be end game but its easier said then done. I have been in this mode before and it usually doesn't happen without consequences lol.

Im all for people trying to stick to something new no matter what sparks it. Id rather it be a random date or new years then a health issue or forced life change.

Practice the same movement in shoes on polished (garage) concrete. Practice that more. That will get you more used to leaning correctly and simulate weight shifting.
Then get skates that are Dull. As. Balls. and give it a try on open ice (away from the boards). I think another key is to focus on getting your weight on the middle of the blades, not the toes or heels.
