Update:

Was going to give an update yesterday but I just felt like shit. Ended up in bed all day sleeping. Had horrible body aches. Slight fever. Pretty much hit all the Omi symptoms. Haven't tested myself since last update yet.

Feeling much better today. Moderate congestion. Minor coughing fits. Comparable to a cold.

Sounds like the worst is over. Expect tiredness for the next few days, and a full week of random coughing fits. I took some Buckley's and drank hot honey water to keep the coughing down and not spray bomb the house with virus. Other than that, it wasn't all that bad. Hope you feel well soon!

I may need to test in the next few days. have some visits with vulnerable seniors planned and seems like my kids schools are being hit hard. If I self test and I'm asymptomatic, I am not sure what kind of information I would want to give to my employer.

Our house got hit two weekends ago. Kid picked it up at preschool on a friday and I was symptomatic by Tuesday.

Symptoms were very weird. Absolutely no energy, brain fog, headache, congestion, and a slight cough. The only thing that lingers now is an awful rotting smell in my nose. Every breath in stinks. Its gross.

None. There is zero good reason to self test. If you are sick enough to get hospitalized, they will do it for you.

Got the OG rona last year before Christmas. It sucked royally. My wife and I had similar symptoms: body aches, severe fatigue, lots of congestion, coughing, cold flashes, sore throat. She lost her smell and taste, and has regained like 80% of it back. My lungs took a long time to recover (severe asthmatic).

Then caught Omicron over Christmas this year fml. I live in NYC now so it wasn't really a question of if, more of a when. After both vaccines and antibodies, this time was a breeze relative to last year. My lungs still took the brunt. I was coughing like a pack a day smoker.

Got my booster last week, so hopefully I am god for a while now.

At least a third of my youngest's school are out with covid. And some of the teachers. But kids gotta learn, so we are still sending.
