Taking away peoples' liberties creates some challenging situations.

I think CPS handled this the best they could. They didn't taser or mace a douchebag that clearly didn't care for the rules. We're in a lockdown because of people like him and they could still care less. He could have just gotten off the ice, provided his name and apologized and be off on his way. To me this was escalated when they ignored the bylaw guy, no reason to make it hard on the bylaw/cps for just doing their job

2 cops taking down a kid who's trained his whole life for the nhl... even in peewee we were getting trained in how not to get taken down by an opponent. He's in his element they're trying not to fall on their asses on a skating rink in shitty uniform boots.

I wanna see you demonstrate the proper technique for the situation.

Isn't that eventually what they did? Can't remember....it does bring up a whole debate though about whether it makes a difference if you send out a female cop vs a male cop. This situation proves that female cops can be every bit of bitch as a male cop lol...I'm still laughing my ass off at all the white people who consider THIS to be police brutality lol get real snowflakes.

Yup doesn’t get more creme puff than thinking the law doesn’t apply to you and that they should arrest you more gently.

Meh... Cops need to be challenged on their stupidity now and again just as idiots deserve what they get. If you do decide to challenge the PoPo you better make sure you are in the right and ready to take the heat involved otherwise it is a waste of time and effort.

There is no video before it started to get stupid so tough to say how it all went down. That's up to the courts to figure out I guess now.

They told him several times why, and he kept asking "What's a health regulation?" He was just being belligerent. The fact all his friends were off the ice, and telling him to shutup and leave with them, speaks volumes.

The kid was out of line with his actions but the situation could have easily been avoided by just letting him go.

The rest of the kids were cleared off, he’s allowed to be on the ice alone.

Why escalate a situation, the officers were reacting the same way the kid was, erratic and reactionary.

The whole situation could have been avoided with a different approach.

Try doing that wearing ... wtf were those boots they wore - they have _0_ traction on ice... Tried them towing, got me a dislocated patella.

No most of the white folks think this was way too tame and wish he'd been tazered or hit with pepper spray It's the "police brutality! covid is fake!" snowflakes who are upset, the rest of us wish some street justice was handed out.

Then again, hockey career boy... He's the one who's gotta walk into a locker room in the next weeks/months... And face the team ridicule of public pictures of his ass getting handed to him by a couple girls.

No doubt he is being belligerent but just saying "going against the health regulation" is not really proper. He has every right to ask what that regulation is and if they don't know it or can't tell him what it is, he is kind of in the right in my opinion to want clarification. If he was skating away from them, or being physically combative then a take down is warranted for sure, but if all he is doing is forcing them to clarify the regulation before complying I am not unsympathetic to his reasoning. That isn't to say it wasn't clarified before the video started and he is dead wrong, but if what is in the video is what it is, I don't think he is necessarily in the wrong legally.

That said it seems like a silly hill to die on, and as I said above, challenging cops comes with a risk, but the day we just roll over every single time because we are told to right or wrong is the day laws don't have to be followed by those that enforce them and that is not good either.
