Seth is a great guy, highly recommended, not often do associates actually know watches.

Does anyone know what happened to Bryn? i heard he was no longer at J Vair.
I put my name in for a submariner after buying 2 watches from J. Vair and they kinda looked at me like I was on fucking drugs. Kinda put me off.

^^Was this Seth? im also confused as to why they would look at you like that. You'd think they'd be treating you better after buying a couple already unless maybe you got some insane watches and they were wondering why you'd slum it with a Sub?

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Sounds like Ferrari. Not that I can afford either, but the bullshit offends me. Shit, half the reason I'm with Public Mobile is so I don't need to do some fucking secret handshake to get a decent deal from Telus.

Living in a small town (Winnipeg), I have a habit of checking dealers when I travel and even then, they're always out of the watches I want. You just have to be patient.

Not there anymore... 🙄 I guess it is cut budget, and Rolex has changed their service system. (Global ...)

Again, whoever go Vair next time, put a Rolex (Datejust for example, as you wont see a Sub or GMT) side by side to a GS, you will be amazed the quality of difference!

Yeah, I was amazed at how flimsy the GS bracelet and clasps are in comparison.

I'm surprised at all of the interest in Rolex's here. I thought beyond trended to the younger end.

Considering Beyond’s penchant for useless flexing I’m surprised we don’t have a rolly sub forum

Necro'ing an old thread. Looking at getting a Rolex. After looking at some at one dealer seems I prefer the looks to the sea dweller in the gold/black 126603. Only down side is they didn't have all options on display when i went.

Huge waits, sounds like worst than when this thread was posted. Anyone with options for sale? I'm not the most patient person. Has anyone used chrono24 before? Seems like a good possibility I'll be hitting the resale market if I want one sooner than later.

Open to hearing suggestions to consider. I like the bigger sizes but won't ever be diving with the sea dweller version. I'm not a suit type of guy on the daily so bigger version won't interfere with stuff.

I’ve been told it’s less of a wait if you finance the watch. I was surprised you can finance one in the first place.

That's hilarious to me. Just imagine making monthly installments on a watch, I wonder if you can finance it as long as a car these days!

if it gets me the watch quicker I'd have no problem.. I offered to pay for the watch now or place a deposit and was told there's no way to jump the que.

I'd spend a bit on the finance side of things to buy from a dealer than over pay on the resale market...

Financing by the reseller? or directly by Rolex?

I came close to buying a Submariner back in the early 90's. The $5500.00 price scared me off. If only I knew then....

My buddy has a contact in VAN, but it's one of those I can sell you the watch at retail, but you need to spend an extra $2k-$4k on jewelry at the AD....

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.
