Might as well not be anyways, can't get them over here and they're going for double or more than they're worth. I decided to build a watch instead of putting money towards that POS.

Still... I dont get the value. Its a cheap brand crossed over with an luxury brand built on the foundations of the cheap watch. The only thing going for them is its cheap. Everyone knows its cheap. Wearing one makes you look cheap.

Rolexes are still around 1.8x or 2x the MSRP, but it makes a bit more sense. Building your own watch is more unique than buying cheap watch that got hyped up.

I see it as a cheap introduction to Omega for someone, in the hopes they can get a true Omega one day. Plus it’s more of a toy collectable, like all Swatch are.

Yeah exactly. It's hot because it's a cheap way to get a premium brand on your wrist.

Alternatively, if you already own a Speedy and you like it, but don't want to wear it all the time, this is a neat daily driver.

I see it the other way around. The premium brand just got cheaper. Glad rolex didnt do this.

IMO wearing a cheap made watch hoping to feel "premium" is just sad. Id be embarrassed wearing that thing.

Ya, Rolex and omega can’t really be compared. Omegas are quasi-premium I’d say; I don’t think this will hurt the brand.

It’s not a necessity nowadays. It’s just nice to have and collect

I used to collect 200-500 dollar watches. Its all moldy, dinged up or broken. EA, Gucci, bulova, etc. All garbage quality watches that is worth nothing now. Even my old Tag is not worth much now.

No matter how poorly you maintain your Rolex or AP, it will still be worth money lol.
