Hah, no I get it, I would totally not spend that money for that feature of dubious value. Just seems beyond is very free with other peoples money whenever a discussion of cost/benefit comes up.

bumping this thread to say thanks to @benyl and the others that recommended the all-fridge/all-freezer 30" units with the trim kits. That's what we've opted to do, hiding the freezer in our butler's pantry. Way more cost effective than any other built-in options and I think (hope) we're gonna love them.

Selected a wolf 36" range plus an electric wall oven, and the usual other stuff.

edit: hm upon scrolling back i see that benyl must have posted that in Buster's reno thread. Too many baller renos/builds going on for me to keep track of. Beyond keeping the economy afloat.

Where's your build thread? I like living vicariously through these baller build threads.

    Development permit approved.

We had to make a few changes and add some trees. lol

We had to reduce the eaves from 3' to 2'. That one kind of pissed me off, I liked the 3' eaves. We also had to reduce the height of the outside of the garage 1'.

Still have a 9' door with a 12' ceiling on one half and a 10' ceiling on the other half. Inside floor dimensions are 23.5' wide x 25' deep. They relaxed the setback. I was worried that we would have to shorten the depth of the garage, but we got it all.

    Let the fun begin!

I should be. They are worth their weight in gold.

Remodel turned into a whole new house with a new foundation. Fuck. Budget quadrupled.
