Honestly surprised my car fired right up with no hints of struggle after sitting for 6 days.

Coolant? It came from the factory with that. I don't need to check it.
Guys we are car enthusiasts, don't be so lazy. Check your coolant, make some if you need more. Orange food coloring and some water, done. Green or blue works too.
Duh! It needs alcohol to prevent freezing! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Is the boiling point of alcohol significantly lower than glycol? Lower than water?
Ever heard of shitty oil change places putting washer fluid to top up coolant?
I dunno why you post a serious comment when I was making a sarcastic remark on my original post. Gave you a couple chances to understand but no dice. You still somehow thought I dunno what coolant is for. There, I laid it out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Oh well.
Im really regretting my decision of keeping my car at the airport park2go lot while im away this week.
You know its cold when the airplanes passing overhead whistle instead of rumble.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
It’s cold out but not as cold as it was two years ago.
I have a post from two years ago where my car read -29c
Company car started fine this morning, idled it for 30 seconds, started driving and it died 500m down the road. Took me nearly an hour to bump start it off to the side of the road (thank god for a strong AGM battery) and finally when I was about to take my BMW to work I got the company car started again. I suspect frozen fuel lines.
Leaving the orgy in Airdrie this morning mine read -30°. The last two days have officially been the coldest Calgary has had in 80 years (for those days)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I find a little bit of February -30 a lot more palatable considering how mild our December and January were this winter.
