There is a China joke in here somewhere, but I'm afraid to think too hard on it.

Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
A pretty minor thing, but I think a good move. Easy to opt out if it bothers you. will save more lives than covid lockdowns.

way better to have opt out compared to opt in.
so whatsapp steals the pictures of your genitals, Nova Scotia steals your genitals?
i'm pretty shocked this isn't the norm. I think a lot of people would be fine with it.
I'd be fine with it.

Surprised in Canada it's not more common.
Have a few friends who do dialysis a few times a week for years. Can you imagine what that costs vs a liver transplant? Plus all the inevitable major medical crises over the waiting years while you're waiting...
I think the joke is when they start changing the definition of 'deceased'. Don't let em catch you sleeping on a park benchThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
On a serious note this is a great thing, Ive always opted for donation, but I'm sure it's something a lot of people say no to just because having to consider their own deaths makes it uncomfortable for them.
So if you are a recipient donor, are you still on the list when you die? So there could be a "transplant inception" where someones buttcheeks are transplanted once, then re-transplanted again into some Kardashians lips. Imagine it would be very much like hot potato except way down the line some poor kid gets a dusty lint covered 300 year old heart instead of a fresh one.
No you really want the "experienced" organs. They know the ropes of the donation process better than the newbies.

Wasn't Alberta trying to do this under the NDP? Whatever happened (was it passed/shot down/etc.)
