Default Travel to USA for work - differences now due to COVID?

Looking for information about travel to USA for work purposes. I know where to find information about testing or quarantine requirements for return to Canada, but what's the deal with the trip down? Does it vary state by state in terms of quarantine or what?

My sister is in california and even that state doesnt have a mandatory quarantine but they do recommend a self quarantine, so I doubt any of the red states would have that if thats where you are going.

    Heres an updated list:

    This.
It will vary by state, though. California has typically been the most strict.
The prevailing guideline with that place is that it's 50 different countries that loosely stare at the same flag.

It varies from state to state, most airlines have the information on their website. I'm based out of Winnipeg but have been living in Florida since June and travel a lot within the US.

For example, the last time I checked, Illinois had stipulated that anyone coming from Tennessee had to quarantine after landing, but anyone from Florida was fine to not quarantine, it didn't make sense.

Well this question got a lot clearer I think. Quarantine for everyone?

But what does it mean for "essential workers"? Energy is an essential industry in both countries still, I think.

Just travel to Haiti for work, then the requirements are waived

I am not looking forward to these restrictions. I am going to be flying down to Utah to oversee setup and commissioning of a custom machine in a few months. 2 more after that in different states

    My recommendation is stay there.

If you don’t get a covid test you come back in. Take that Trudeau.
