That's jungle green, not forest green.

Invade Bolivia. Nickel and Lithium is the new oil.

Such is the irony of Kenney trying to act all tough.

If you think Canadians overestimate their importance on the political stage, imagine the deafening silence when a premier starts making demands.

There are probably a handful of people in AB snowbird destinations and Texas knows what an Albertan is.

Surprisingly, I did bump into a few Japanese chicks in Tokyo that knows Calgary/Banff, beyond the typical Vancouver/Toronto. So there's that going for us.

Painting tanks green is huuge. Good catch.

I'd assume this to mean no chance of ground assault in the middle east for at least four years (which would make sense considering noone wants the oil right now) But to paint them green instead of simply leaving them desert sand coloured is a *really* bad sign.

Maybe it's what he thought it meant when his nurses told him the military needs to "go green".

Oil is going up in the short term :
Biden administration suspends new oil, gas drilling permits on federal land

I said this before in the oil thread, if Biden actually cracks down on the fracking / off shore drilling industry it'll benefit Alberta a fair bit, maybe even enough to offset keystone.

Transmountain will bring our differential up too and might be enough.

I have spent some work hours updating my management team on the potential impact of this and the coles is that it is a pretty small deal. Can really only impact federal land, and most companies that operate on federal land have a significant inventory of approved drilling permits in-hand in anticipation of this exact scenario. Longer term, drilling will shift away from federal land, but that's not likely to change the total number of rigs drilling.

Just another way to pick winners and losers. Winners are not the citizens of New Mexico, that's for sure.

Dug up my numbers. Across the USA federal lands account for roughly 10% of all oil and gas leases. However it's more like 25% of all new shale oil drilling, which is what people think of (and what I worry about at work).
