You mean like when they told pharmacies to book shots and then pulled the supply to send it to the convention centre?

I'm just trying to book a spot to drink at a park, this is brutal
Can I sub divide my back yard and charge people to sit at a bench and drink?

AHS site is a dream compared to the parks one..This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Booked for Sundance Lodge 2nd week of July. Will wait before getting the K pass.
AB Parks bought themselves a queue.. see if this fixes all things on that website
Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca (RAP) will be back online at 10 a.m. today, May 14. The queue will become available at 10 a.m.
They probably needed one. I doubt it'll work well, but . .. .

Well.. cant complain as it officially is using the AHS queue system.. however i was 19000 in queue for AHS and was in under 30 minutes... im ~1400 and queue is over an hour
What the fuck am I even queing for.
Youre queuing to see that everything's booked.. Im very interested to know how many people are actually in the site, if im ~2000 in line.. There's really not that many sites available for booking in the province
If there's a line, you'd better join it or you might not get a chance at whatever is at the front. Could be bread, could be potatoes, could be milk or campsites. Who knows. This is the Canadian way.

on a technical level, I'm better whatever number of simultaneous users they think that site is good for, they are letting through less than 50% of that number today as part of a ramp-up test. They can't have the thing crash again. I actually like this idea, seems smart.
Opening day next year will be a shitshow with or without a queue though.

Nothing new, same people sliding their reservations. Cycle continues
They literally just bought this out of the box queue to access the same old website.. nothing will change except maybe we can get ahead of the 'sliders' if you're in the queue before hand (doubtful..good luck)
Maybe the fee for changes just needs to be higher, than the sliders can at least fund more camping shit.
Fee for each change is min $20? or first change per account each year is free, then $20?

Probably can't prevent it, so at least make it fund something useful.

So what's with the sliding? Does someone just book for monday and then slide it all the way to friday?
It’s basically a way to take advantage of 90 days out + 14 day booking rule. Say you want something 100-104 days out. Those spots would be open if you start the booking 90 days out and book for 14 days which covers days 100-104. Then when it gets a bit closer, adjust your booking that was originally 14 days and from day 90-104 and now make it start at day 100. You get a refund and just pay a small fee for changing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
At least that’s my understanding of it.
I’m not evil enough to come up with this kind of stuff anymore.
