As of February 24, 2021:

Welcome to another camping season in BC Parks. Every successful trip starts with a great plan. That plan is a little bit different again this year as we all do our best to stay healthy during COVID-19. See bcparks.ca/covid-19 for details.

This year, British Columbians have priority access to camping reservations for the entire summer season. Reservations can be made starting March 8 for May 8 arrivals, and can be booked up to two months in advance from there on. Find out when you can book at each park at bcparks.ca/operating dates/. Policy information for 2021 can be found at bcparks.ca/covid-19/camping-2021. For those of you coming from out of province, reservations start July 8, 2021 for the remainder of the season.

And as always, my tips for reserving campsites:
1) choose places in further zones (south zone is good)
2) choose places further away in that zone.

Complaining that Elkwood is hard to book for a long weekend is basically my #1 trigger for camping.

I hope you all know the exact site number you want, with a back up spot in mind, because they shut down the site until reservation time and you can't see the details/photos of them anymore.

Best campsite suggestions for the Drumheller area?

Would like to spend a day at dino museum, another day hiking badlands, maybe tour the downtown for ice cream. Any campground close to these, with nice spots? Thinking of going there June 25-30, to be ahead of the scorching summer heat.

Second only to camping by yourself, with an empty park. I always love going a night or two ahead of my friends/family.
