Thanks. Ended up with a pull through site for mid July weekend. Seems like these are the sites that are furthest from the lake but hopefully still good.
The pull-throughs there are awesome. Your trailer gives you privacy from the road, your camping area faces a wooded area that gives you privacy from everyone else. Loved it there.

Oh yeah, the loop roads are extremely narrow, so go slow. Some moron destroyed the side of his 5th-wheel going too fast when I was there.

I will have to wait until after this weekend to give a review of Sibbald. I know the area, but not that specific campground at all. I can normally jelly my trailer into most sites, so should be okay.

Heading to Bow River this afternoon. Reviews don't look great but didn't have a lot of choices.

Pretty decent deal on firewood (BC Douglas Fir). 10 bags delivered for $120
    https://wooddepot.ca/product/10-pack...-special-copy/

I have only ever purchased Birch for my indoor fireplace, anyone know if Douglas Fir works good indoors too? (Smell, doesn’t crackle too much, slower burning)?

Sibbald lake review: closest "real" campground to the city, nice and treed. Looks like this:

Lake is nothing special, but it's a lake, and even when the day use parking is full, the lake isn't.

DF is the best of the softwoods, I still wouldn't due to creosote buildup.

I didn't think I'd like the tailgate step, but actually find it quite handy.

As a general statement. They are amazing in a practical sense.

I loved being able to walk shit into my bed.

I liked it because I could turn my kids into truck bed slave units.

Lots of skeeters, still wasn’t too bad. None at the beach area. Lake water is actually quite warm.

Stunk bad the first night, nothing the next day.

Sites are very close together, not too treed.

Oh yeah, birds were insane, non stop singing all night.

Heads up that this heat has brought some fire bans out there. So far just a few parks effected. Check https://albertafirebans.ca/and https://www.albertaparks.ca/albertap...-restrictions/ before your trips. Another good year to own a propane fire pit.

Thanks for this. Got a couple of Canada Day Bundles being delivered today.

Headed to the Livingstone area tonight and hoping a fire ban doesn't get put on....

I was going to meet some people at Sandy Mcnabb tomorrow. Is that part of the whole k country pass thing? I thought the park was sheep river?

How does that work? Do I just go online and pay 15 bucks and type in my plate or something?
