Whats the bet these BC travel restrictions extend past may long?
Whats the bet these BC travel restrictions extend past may long?
Betting on the BC NDP government not doing something stupid and unhelpful for optics?
Good luck.

British Columbia has announced that beginning May long weekend, any Albertans caught within 100 miles of a BC Provincial Park will be incarcerated at Hastings Park Race Track in Vancouver. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

There was one day where I decided to keep checking on BVC to see how much turnover there really was, at least six spots opened for the weekend that was upcoming. The amount of turnover is actually rather astounding.
without a doubt, it would be contingent on "our" stats more than anything. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
FFS like what is going on with Alberta's infection rate... why is it seemingly like this province just stands out like a sore thumb.
Was looking a rental op in the NE... well... not to be ignorant, but I can tell you when I see 40+ kids congregating, adults and the seniors all sitting besides each other watching them... well no wonder we don't get "nice shit".
I really hate what John Horgan is doing, as its posturing... then turns locals - who in the Interior are the greatest beneficiaries of Alberta money, against us.
To get into an actual booking state at 9am is still hell every day, super frustrating to just watch the 3 dots spin as you know the site you want is gobbled up by some botThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
well a buddy of mine got the spot he wanted for the days he wanted today. so it is possible. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to book anything for later in the summer.

Fees to get into Kananaskis coming??
looks like $90 per year or $15/day. Tied to license plate so no switching between cars like you can with the national park pass.
Well, I already can't get camping out that way, so maybe no day trips now either. Fuck 'em.

It sounds like it was pretty trashed last year with a record amount of people going out and wrecking trails and leaving garbage so I would assume this would help with maintaining the park.

Will wait and see the actual details of what is released, the announcement is coming this afternoon and the G&M article is sparse on details

I'm not against spending more money on parks, and maybe user fees are the smarter way to do that.

To do this they are going to have to reopen all those closed information offices like at barrier lake and bow valley, although bow valley seems out of the way to go get your ticket. I wonder if going to Canmore would be included in this?
I doubt they'll have it require a physical ticket. Most likely an online portal to pay and register a plate, enforcement can be done by punching in a plate to see if it's registered or not. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
