Westy probably worth really good money. So popular.

Yeah, I’m really not sure what it’s worth anymore to be honest. 100,000km and the best condition I’ve ever seen.
2-3 years ago I was offered $18k, but now they seem to be selling for $30k+. It’s crazy.
Well booked June 11 to 13 at carsland, because I could. Never been there, but it's nice and close. Lotta sores available of anyone wants that weekend.

Which site did you get? Lots of good ones in A loop, B115 and 116 are nice as wellThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We snagged a bunch of spots for May long at Carseland, first week of June at Gooseberry and trying to get out for Easter as well.
Trailer seems to have made it through the winter well; no mice, no leaks, batteries are fully charged and pulling power from solar, generator started right up. Haul it home next weekend to upgrade the inverter and de-winterize.

Just booked another elkwood site today for June 11-13, processing is a hell of a lot faster.

How is Elkwood? I've been eyeing that and Boulton Creek for sometime this spring/summer.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Boulton Creek last year was pretty nice. Good that there's no cell coverage and close to lower kananaskis lake for hikes and fishing if you want.
Been camping at Boulton and a Elkwood for 40 years. Both excellent. Hard to get spots for prime weekends.

Any of y'all got any favorite or know of which are the better/primo sites at lower lake campground?

They closed the lakeside ones cause of bears (have been saying they were gonna do this for years, and finally did after momma bear spent 3 weeks in a site last year). Any that are open are solid sites. Any by the creek are niceThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
IMO elkwood/boulton is the best campsites within 1.5hrs of the city. Sites are clean, well tree’d in and for the most part quiet. Lots of things to do in the area and if you forget something or if you just want some nice cream you can usually find it in the local trading post.
No cell coverage is a plus too, keeps the electronic devices out of your hand.
Best sites are Interlakes lake side, but goooood fucking luck beating the team of retired dudes who've been moving lakeside sites all summer long since it's FCFS.
I had one of the premium lakeside sites last year. Good spot, but not sure it's that much better than Boulton or Elkwood. All are excellent. All are busy as heck all year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I might have to try my luck at lakeside this summer mid week but ya, my family enjoys boulton/elk wood due to the amenities and powered site. Fresh deep fried chicken wing tossed in some franks hot sauce and home made poutines are killer after a long day of activities. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If by activities you mean drinking 23 beers while your kids wander the campground unattended, than this sounds like something I could get behind.

Was chatting with a guy at work who just leased a trailer lot at a lake for low - mid 4 figures. That seems like winning wrt “camping” in 2021. Within 90 minutes of YYC.
12 mo lease too enabling a deep season.
