    Default Clean TV setup

Looking for a TV setup that looks clean, is non intrusive in the room but still sounds half decent. I was thinking about one of those articulating TV wall mounts that can move out from the wall when in use, but can easily be folded away. Google Chromecast with Google home speaker and perhaps a soundbar? Kind of lost on the sound bar though, have only had big speaker home theater systems. Any suggestions, what do you guys have for clean setups?

    Right up my alley.

For tv mount, get the lowest profile one possible. You want the tv as close to the wall as possible. Protruding tv looks terrible. For maximum effect go with a frame TV. Run the cabling behind the wall to the floor. Hide your sources behind a cabinet, dresser, whatever.

Sound has always been an issue for me in clean setup, especially in the bedroom. I used to have a 5.1 setup but got rid of it because it was just terrible clutter. I went tv speakers for years before finally a good clean setup was available without breaking the bank. Sonos beam soundbar, and ikea Sonos lamps as rear speakers. Since they’re wireless there’s zero wires. I didn’t go with the sub but can easily hide one under the bed.

So ya, 5.1 setup with no clutter and tv floating with no cables.

Have this setup on the main floor of our house, might add a sound bar eventually but for any movies/anything decent we use the bigger setup in our basement.

Wall mount from Costco that pulls out fully and side to side however you want it facing as we have 2 couches in this living room.
Bought an in wall cable management setup for cheap off Amazon along with fire rated power and HDMI that we ran through the wall and cables go into the cabinet for the Shield and Switch.

Nothing wild but better than having cables running down the wall

Samsung Frame. I just use tv speakers as baby is usually sleeping when I do get time to watch. Have in ceiling speakers as well. Everything is hidden in adjacent cabinets.

For my bedroom TV i have moved the power outlet up the wall behind the TV, Stuffed a chromecast and android Tv box in behind the TV and use bluetooth speakers which are under the bed/headboard, so zero wires

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Above the fireplace isn’t allowed only when it’s done poorly. Too high, extended pull out mount from inside a mantle, etc.

This is perfection. I would be willing to forego a little in my preference for size and brightness with this setup just for how clean it is.

Yea the frame is just an awesome package nothing else really matches the fit and finish even much more expensive tv’s.

I suppose the LG gallery is alright if you ball out of control.

I might be purchasing a third frame this spring for the lake house after getting one for my place and my parents place this year.

Wall mount looks nice when TV is off but I prefer having the TV sitting on a low to the ground stand. Makes for much better viewing angles on a cheap TV. It's also much easier on your eyes. When the TV is situated at standing eye level your eyes will be looking up at the screen drying them up. Much less fatiguing on the eyes to look straight on or slightly down while sitting.

Loving these frame tv's need to look into one when I upgrade. Where can you get them?

Why wouldn't a tv be allowed above a fireplace?

There is a rift amongst people that like tvs wall mounted up high above fireplaces etc and those who like them more at eye level.

You are either one or the other and seldomly in between.

No. When no motion is detected after X amount of time it can turn off. Off at night as well once lights go out.
