    People getting laid with people who want to lay them seems good. I'm pro that. Let's all get laid.

    I just want controlled spending and for people to be able to smash their genitals into or onto other consenting people. I don't like how they're two unrelated things but you can't have both.
    Lucky for you, the 2nd "issue" hasn't been a problem with any of the parties in about 20+ years.

    Which leads me to believe you don't really want to vote conservative, you just want a liberal alternative.

    @Brent.ff , @Tik-Tok , @Xtrema , @ThePenIsMightier . Here's the Alberta politics thread you were looking for.

    Myself, I don't think Kenny is a good leader for the Alberta Conservatives, but I am really worried a leadership race would be even MORE damaging, especially if we end up with a weak winner like Ed Stelmach or something. Seriously, who's a contender for the leadership if a race was held? Anyone with decent name recognition or widespread support?

    An interesting thread, I’m sure it’ll blow up more now with the fed election done

    Nixon has been very quiet lately, but would almost surely be an NDP win if he took over…

    This doesn't seem like a 2023 topic though...

    Not going to lie, he can probably retake it easy if he throw his hat in.

    EDIT: May be not given his stance on pandemic may piss off the rural crazies.

    Speaking of the NDP. The premier and others have often spoken of this pandemic as being like a war. Jason Kenney should follow the lead of his hero Winston Churchill and swear a member of the Opposition into the cabinet as a “minister without portfolio” sitting on the cabinet COVID committee. Churchill reached across the aisle during the Second World War when he had Clement Attlee, the leader of the Labour Party, serve in the war cabinet. A gesture like this would help bring Albertans together and tone down some of the politicized rhetoric that has not been helpful.

    These proposals are very different from what has been currently happening. But COVID is serious. Serious enough to kill many Albertans, directly and indirectly, and clearly serious enough to dramatically disrupt all our lives for many years to come.

    That's my point, UCP leadership isn't a 2023 Provincial Election topic (yet)

    Any leadership change is done with a direct line to winning the 2023 election. It's directly related.

    If they are itching to switch him out preparing for 2023, now is a good time with a year and a bit to go.

    The party had removed Stelmach and Redford ahead of next election at around the same time frame.

    Both Stelmach and Redford resigned… Kenney will refuse, and be belligerent to the end
