Zero for me unless you count VGRO.

I never buy any Canadian O&G (directly) because I feel like owning real estate in Calgary as well as some bundled in my ETFs already has me plenty exposed to O&G.
I talked to a few coworkers, mostly engineers and geologist and majority of their stock investments are other Canadian O&G companies. I asked them why not invest on other sectors, their response was that it's what they understand best.

I've got ~7% in BEP-un but that's it. I don't see any upside to O&G stocks in the current market and banks are more of a dividend play (maybe, idk). Most of my original gains came from AMZN anyway so I just had USD to invest and it kind of went from there.

I do park my annual budget in XDIV and ZUT though (am farmer, only get paid once a year).

I could never stomach that much risk, and I have seen people lose almost everything with too many eggs in that particular basket. Whatever floats their boat though - at the end of the day they're the ones who have to be comfortable with it.

Think of the Bonavista employees that were comfortable with and understood their stocks... Pretty rough for some peoples savings/rrsp's.

I know a lot of people do it but it is dangerous to have all your eggs in one basket as has been mentioned many times in this thread.
