End of the day a giant asterisk on his win is exactly what Verstappen deserves.

While I dont like the process, I remember Lewis was heavily gifted when he himself got to unlap at Imola and took second place away from Lando.... Lewis went long into the gravel right before the Russell/Bottas crash, spent 3/4 of a lap trying to get out of the gravel, and was a full lap behind by the time they changed his wing. Then they unlapped lewis and the backfield and he placed second...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But it benefitted Lewis, so no one is going to complain out it..... if you want to contest that Max didnt win the championship.... Lewis probably wouldnt have been tied with him coming into the final race if you want to get into the difficulties of un-lapping cars..
Ignoring the championship tie, Lewis benefited far greater from unlapping at Imola than Max did today...

That's what I'm saying. And why I am very happy that Merc has to gargle a giant dutch cock. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Max is clearly taking another page out of Schumacher
I think they boned up the t6 call initially, and made that a compromise. Now would that have made an overall final change in outcome? You never know, the stints would have changed, lots would have been different. I agree that merc had other opportunities to try and mitigate the tire thing by coming in, and chose not to. Heck even on the one pit max came out almost 19 sec behind hamilton with lots of race left. So merc could have easily come in, and on pace alone retaken that, but again didn't want that gamble. Lewis was yammering about the tires the the last 20 laps, and who knows what the deg would have been like if he had pushed those last 7 laps as well, maybe he has an off or a puncture, again too many variables. In the end RBR took the gamble and Masi wanted a one lap shootout rather than just handing lewis the trophy on a 7 lap shorter race under SC. I don't think that's unreasonable, but I completely understand why merc is mad, and I would probably be upset too, but the fortune has favored merc and lewis many times over this season before, it just didn't today. I think that if they were that close to the end, in hindsight because it was so controversial, maybe a red flag right away, get everyone on even playing field, and then let them race it 7 laps instead would have been more palatable. That also would have greatly increased the odds of a DNF between one of the two though. All in all, it was a clusterfuck for sure, and Masi is just magic 8 balling his way through all of this. His sass to toto at the end though was quite something. This is motor racing. hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

No Penalty for Max
Could you image if F1 overruled Max’s victory after that celebration. They’d never do.
It is only on the overtaking under the SC , the other one is still pending. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
As much as it is going to look bad you hope they will do the right thing.
If they give max a penalty for that "overtake" they better give Lewis a penalty for not giving back the advantage on lap 1. And the FIA/unlapping stuff, shit who do they penalize for that? I don't see how they can possibly change the result.
So what you are suggesting is that FIA made a decision to enforce half of the rule and that resulted in affecting the outcome of the results but since they don't know who to penalize for the half decision we should let the decision stand even though that resulted in affecting the outcome. - Seems very fair to me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. What about FIA goes back to the previous classification before FIA decided to enforce half of the rule?
Wow... just wow...
Shit got hot on Arrakis.
Great start by Lewis, credit to him by backing off, avoiding collisions and not being bitter in the end. He tried to teach Max a lesson on who is the greatest driver. But Lewis forgot that to teach you gota be wearing a burka in the old kingdom. This an't Quebec you know.. it all about the halal here.
Great drive by Perez, brilliant... just brilliant. He added a bit of Mexican heat to the Dune spice.
But Mercedes have to take responsibility.. no guts no glory. The rule on track position might have to be re-written. You cant always stick to Bratwurst. Sometimes you gota break the rules and have falafel and fattoush.
To be fair, Max was hungry. He was ready to feast for the championship. Feast he did. But was it enough? No, it took something else. This race was haunted from the beginning. Latifi felt it. He got spooked and crashed. It was..... ghost of Frank Williams....
Onwards to next season.. the spice must flow.
