My best summary for this season, it’s over. RBR has a better car everywhere. Mercedes confirmed their focus is 2022, they’ve brought 0 updates in the last 4 races while RBR has brought several. Fundamental issue is the rule changes this year to the floor, which robbed Mercedes of rear downforce. They have to run bigger rear wings to compensate to not destroy the tires, and they’re a lot slower than RBR on low downforce setup (last 3 races) in the straights due to the need for more rear wing ans drag. The only saving grace for Mercedes was race pace and tire wear but it seems like RBR has solved those issues too.

If Mercedes indeed quit development for this year, they’re done everywhere. Max basically gapped Hamilton and controlled the pace the entire race. Maybe Monza would be close.

I think the last race of the year, worth 100 pts winner takes all, should be the top 3 drivers in a ‘80s lancia on gravel to do a full contact rally cross. Just to keep everyone honest.
