I enjoyed it! Some pretty good moves by Max, Alonso, and Riccardo and interesting perspective/data on how shitty the tires are going to be for tomorrow!

It's amazing that Verstappen legit started the race with his left front brake/wheel on fire. Had the start taken another minute maybe both RBRs would be out!

Racing was fine but the level of risk for vehicle damage and or extra miles on the cars seems high. Also perez, in normal qualifying, could probably limp back and put on new tires and wing and now starts P20. Sainz getting knocked off by george also lost some positions.

Alonso pace was very good along with the karun joke on him weaving so much he could make a persian rug

Too long after 10 laps, everyone settled in and was just pointless "racing?" and opens the door to crashes or incidents, Perez and Sainz got fucked, could have happened during the actual race but just a pointless endeavor in my eyes.

I find regular qualifying plenty eventful/entertaining from a viewers standpoint. Say Lewis or Max somehow bins their car during one of these sprints, hurts them incredibly bad in the championship standings, for what? 20ish minutes of pointless racing? It netted Max pole position which is a bump up for him but solid chance he just passes Lewis during the race smart with how his car is performing.

Also the lap around the track on the crypto.com truck was... Something
