I think if he pitted he would have finished in the podium. Might not be P1.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Oh man there was so much chaos I’m not sure. Was the gap big enough to get P3 at least with all the pit traffic? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Of course it is lol

If my memory is correct when Lewis came in it was 49 seconds gap between Him and P3.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Lando was just under 2 seconds ahead of Lewis a the time
What an epic fuck up by McLaren.
Gutted for Lando but he made the wrong call and thought he might stick it out.
Max becoming a regular for getting lucky every time.
Exciting race all around though.
I think Max earned that P2 than luck
He put himself in position fir a good finish. The rain was the luck that got him a podiumThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Actually a good Russian GP, this season has been great
Great race, was expecting one of the crazy podiums form the last couple season, but definitely wasn't expecting that combination.
Lando was just me trying to stay out in the F1 game.
TV direction was terrible though as were the new terrible pitstops.
Re: pit stops
So in order for the pit stops to be slowed down there’s a human pressing the go signal? Herpderp
Merc was going to do the same thing. They only pitted to cover Max as that was who they were truly racing against. So basically Lewis is unbelievably lucky yet again. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's funny you see it this way. It seems like even when Max obviously lucks into an excellent result, Max fans somehow turn it around on Lewis yet again. I watched the race and heard the radio calls, it was quite clear that Merc essentially forced Lewis to pit. Lewis did not want to pit and even ignored the call first time because he was quite close to catching up Norris. Merc made him pit because they knew/or thought that the small drizzle is expected to be a big splash right away. Unless we can read their minds, I don't think at anytime Max running at 7th was a concern for Lewis or the team. McLaren also asked Lando to pit but he ignored it and thought he could make it to the end and I feel the team didn't say it forcefully enough. They also probably didn't think the rain was going to suddenly come down either so it was an unlucky strategical call. The biggest 'luck' gain today quite obviously went to Max and that is fine cause ultimately that's the nature of this sport and in addition to your skills, luck also plays a big factor. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Hypothetically, even if we agree that Merc did the pit stop to cover Max because it was 'him who they were truly racing against', then why does the call to pit Lewis to cover Max count as luck? I would say that would be a smart strategic decision if anything and nothing to do with 'luck' in the situation. Perhaps you mean Ham was lucky coming 1st due to Norris' bad call? Even then had Norris won, Lewis was second and Max was 7th. The point difference between the two would have been much greater in Lewis' favour in that case had that been the end result.
Though I do think that as a constructor, Merc deff got lucky as well. Because of the last minute rain Bottas gained like 10 spots and ended up at a decent points position which of course helps Merc as a constructor over RBR.

If someone has an opinion that is different than mine, then express it here, rather than leaving me a negative rep without signing your name. FYI it's not too hard to guess who it might be but good to see how you operate.
Fantastic drive by Lord Russell. Third on the grid! A great fight holding out during the race and not fading out into parmesan cheese.
Good drive by Max. But it was a good move by Merc on Lewis. The ghost of Ron Dennis came for McLaren. They were too focused on the prize and not the race. Gutted for Lando. But good experience for him.
Actually, the list of people that'd give you a neg rep is long, but anyways. It wasnt me lmao. Not to mention you wont even let me counter your incorrect statements. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Wasn't me either, I have no problem calling shak out for delusional homerism in this thread but electing to just roll my eyes reading his ball gargling posts
