"Bono, tires are good"
Not sure why Mercedes didn't pit Bottas for the fastest lap.
Bottas is done at Mercedes for sure at the end of the season.
Haha Toto
Bottas got fucked
Bottas is gone. Needed to hold up max for a lap or 2 to make a difference. Couldn’t do it. As soon as max got close, makes a mistake.
McLaren destroys Ferrari I’m happy. What a race. Who would’ve thought French GP could be so good haha.

That was a fun race to watch!
Thank God red bull is competitive this year, a French GP that was actually entertaining.
Bottas got fucked.
I think Bottas didn't pit for the fastest lap because there was a small chance that Perez gets a penalty for going wide and had to hang around the 5s window in case that happens. Points for 3rd is better than 4th and a fastest lap.
I disagree that Bottas got fucked. Mercedes gave him the first pit and a chance to undercut Max and failed. Would have changed the race his he got ahead and Max wouldn't have undercut Lewis.
All hypothetical, but Mercedes gave Bottas his shot for at least 2nd.
Always happy to see Mercedes fucking themselves over.
How was the first pit good unless they were going to give Bottas the 2-stop strategy that he asked for over the radio? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
He just ended the race on the shittier tires.
I can't see how Bottas failed in making the undercut... pit stop timing has more to do with the strategists and crew than the driver, unless you're suggesting he should have been able to put in faster laps pre-pit?
All the commentators agreed that the undercut at this track is very powerful due to the slow pit lane entrance, 23-25 seconds per stop.
The undercut has a lot to do with how good the out lap is as long as everything goes well in the pits.
Bottas got the first stop which is generally given to the lead car.
At the point in time of the pitstop, Mercedes was trying their best for Bottas is what I'm saying.
No doubt they miscalculated with the one stop, but they did this for both drivers.
I think they should have pitted Bottas around Perez's pitstop.
Fair enough, but after that they left Bottas out as a blocker rather than bringing him in for a second stop. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just can't have this happen every race. Really hope for Ham to get back in the lead in the next two back-to-back races and Merc as well - though the gap b/w constructors is even bigger now.
With RBR getting momentum, is it possible for Honda to rescind their withdrawal from F1, or is there some FIA thing that you can't do that?
I doubt FIA gives a fuck. They've already got things in motion with RBR, they'd have to break all their contracts on taking over the engine development to stay in. F1 is a big $ marketing exercise, and I don't think F1 really aligns with Honda's image at all. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Oh you mean RBR already made transition plans so Honda would have to break those if they want to return? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I assume rbr contracts are iron clad at this point and rbr is happy to bring it in house. I assume they also signed non compete agreementsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
