Apparently cnrl made vaccines mandatory yesterday? Nice to see some leadership in the industry, hope the other majors follow soon
Secretly wanting the anti-vaxxers to leave on their own, good plan actually.

CNRL had mandatory rapid tests for persons unable to prove 2 doses of vaccine starting a couple of weeks ago I think. That's what my inside source told me, and I trust them, as they are a beyond.ca member.
@sabad66 does this mean that rapid tests are no longer an option for unvaccinated in the Calgary office?

I'm suddenly wondering why APEGA wouldn't take a stand and say,
"The profession exists to uphold the safety of the public. Show us proof of vaccination or you cannot renew your registration."

Not wondering too hard, but it would be interesting.

there is no force in heaven or on earth that would stop apega from accepting someone's renewal money.

Apparently this was hot off the press yesterday so let’s see what our trusted beyond.ca member with inside info to cnrl says. I actually heard it just now during our companywide q&a webcast with our ceo. The question was along the lines of “with cnrl announcing mandatory vaccines yesterday, will we be doing that too?” Apparently being seriously considered here as well

Sounds like you are right. My "super reliable and reputable source" says that rapid testing will not be an option for unvaccinated individuals starting December 1. So those who have zero vaccinations today, have time to get their full two doses if they choose before that date.

If they don’t get paid they have zero fucks. It’s like every accreditation.

The benefit of masks is not known at this time. But we do know it is some non-trivial amount more than zero.

We also know that the cost of mask use is, essentially, zero.

So the cost:benefit of mask use is approaching infinity. I'll take that every time. And every time I see someone without a mask, I think they are stupid.
