Many attacks on Asians recently - California

I'm not usually one to criticize mainstream media with the bias-ness....but this just blows my mind.

I know there are quite a few Asians on beyond.ca so I thought I would share this.

I mean, I know the reason why it hasn't been on mainstream media...doesn't fit the current narrative, but wow. Just wow. My heart breaks for the victims.

I dunno. I read through half a dozen of the reports on the thread on reddit, some didn't even bring up race, and the others seemed more like the victim asking for more sympathy and playing a race card when there was nothing really to base it on. Like I said, I only read half a dozen of the stories. It looks like someone is just trying to be part of the whole repressed generation and drumming up all the news stories they can across the state where someone of Asian descent that was the victim.

I think in a state like California where you drag up ~50 stories over 2.5 years where the victim was Asian...consider all the other crimes in the same area, I think they may be reaching here. Just my opinion after spending all of 10 mins looking at the evidence.

True to an extent...there is a lot of articles posted. Some of them clearly show racism. Some, you could argue, no not really, just plain ol' robbing Asians because they think they have money.

My point was mainly that if the perps were white, you can bet this would be posted all over mainstream media.

Seems normal post BLM to me. But as for robberies, white people are still primary targets in North America.

Now with cryptocurrencies, Asians have found a US dollar alternate without having to buy a safe to protect it. Assuming most Asians within North America dump dollars fast - to buy things like real estate and education (before the US dollar is worth nothing)

Putting US dollar bills in a safe is a high risk idea of course, if someone tries to take it - and there is always someone who is willing to try.
