I've been WFH since March, but I also started a part-time remote job in July.

Easy method and be done with it.
Even for the simplified flat-rate method they ask how many days you worked from home, not including holidays, weekend, vacation. It's $2 per day so you have to WFH for 200 days to be eligible for the max. I doubt anyone would put less than the max though, lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Don't forget if you don't have a dedicated work from home space and use your kitchen table you also need to prorate for hours!
Simplified method 100% no real proof, I can see CRA asking for backup if you claim the detailed method, that would be a fun audit.
If you rent and your office makes up 10ish%, it makes sense to do detailed. It's also pretty easy with this calculator:

Notably detailed only actually works if your employer will sign off no?
That’s probably more of a problem than people might want to admit

Detailed method
Applies to:
eligible employees working from home in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic
eligible employees required to work from home
With this method:
you can claim the actual amounts you paid, supported by documents
you must have a completed and signed Form T2200S / Form T2200 from your employer
Well I’ll be damned. Right out in front!
I'll be doing the easy method.
I played with the calculator and could claim about 1800 vs the 400 with the simple method, however unsure if I want to risk an audit as those are a pain
Our accountant told us we can also claim purchases required to work at home

Pretty sure you can't do furniture/monitors/docking stations/etc. Only consumables like paper, printer ink, pens, etc. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Can you claim that stuff if you just stole it from work?
For sure makes sense if you rent. It's a fairly substantial amount. Based on the list of what's available, not a whole lot of benefits for those who own.
