    Default Shrinking items

Seems everything is going to be travel sized soon.. Products just keep getting smaller and smaller by the year if not more often.. yet prices climb. A couple things in my groceries yesterday that I noticed were the tooth paste and fudgeeO cookies (double stuff, more on this later)

My current tooth paste is 150 ml, down from 180 not that long ago - the new one? 130 ml.. The smaller sized on the shelf still had 100 ml listed on the price sticker, but the product is now labeled 70 ml.

Fudgeeos I dont buy often enough to remember exactly, but I'm almost certain they used to be 454 grams a number of yrs ago = 1 lb.. Cookies in general have been sliding ever since, 350g, then 330, and now 303.. 303? I can only assume is used to trick people who were remember 330, since there are still two 3's in the number. Oreos in the US are still 405 grams, double stuff is 435g.

Now the double filling itself is noticeably smaller, and wedge shaped, 2 'slices' put together to give the appearance of double 'stuff', but there is some definite trickery going on with the tapered shape.

Top tip, if you travel often, 100ml or smaller is the right size of toothpaste.

This is easier to explain, they're just using modern one-piece forged ingredients. Same size just lighter.

Oh I know what it is, it's just getting ridiculous... How small are they gonna make this shit.

Dropping 30% in one swoop must be nice. Wish I could gyp my customers 30% and charge them the same.

It's great to hear from you again, seems you've been quiet lately. But this is the ultimate old man rant. Maybe you and @speedog can bond over it?

One of my biggest pet peeves ever. More expensive than the Big Mac meal too, IIRC.

Those are criminally small too now, lol - I bought my kid wagon wheels the other day at Costco since they got them at dayhome and she loved them apparently. Haven't had one for ~15 years, but they were not this small back then, lol.

Worst is the frozen juice can (unfortunately the only way to get limeade) - Those little fuckers don't even fill the pitcher up halfway anymore!

Watch. In 15 years, the jumbo bag of Lay's at Costco is going to be the 255 g family size for $4.99.

Don't play young with me... You're much older than I am.

Anyways, it's not about being old, it's about being screwed over in plain sight, which I hate.Name: image-asset.jpeg

But are the masses mad enough to drop Christie and buy President Choice in protest?

Under the guise of promoting healthy lifestyles. Like how hotels pretend to be "green" by making you reuse towels, and have no air conditioning.

You must live in Aspen? I went to a house warming party in Aspen and they were serving the double stuffed cookies in multiple varieties and man that was nice living the good life
Edo has really skimped on their portions too

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

It's partially a ripoff to the consumer, but it's mainly just hidden inflation. Thank your government for refusing to turn off the money printer.

Tropicana cut their sizes back from gallon and half-gallon to some obscure amount. And, it doesn't taste as good, anymore! It's weird that the "Our Compliments" one now tastes better and is always way cheaper.

Ummm, aren't you (Supadexta) trying to lose weight? I swear I saw you post recently in the "intermittent fasting" thread recently lol...or maybe that was someone else with a Maritimes flag.
