I definitely don't. But I'm confused as to where we really got some conclusive or even semi-conclusive evidence that this guy is the guy.
What's the run down of evidence and is it strong enough to put a price on his metatarsals?

doesnt matter if he is the guy on this one, its the combo of everything hes done

I wish you well. Worse comes to worse you look like you would make a good bouncer. That should keep you off the streets!

There has been a lot of progression on this and I am eager to find out all the details. As per the Calgary Police Service (CPS), I've been informed that an individual has been found and charged. Furthermore, CPS has recovered a portion of my assets and now holds the recovered assets in their custody!! Thank you to all of those who were empathetic to my situation and I can only hope that people can learn to Trust BUT VERIFY, especially when it comes to transactions with crypto assets, like Bitcoin.

It would be good enough to get him caught and charged but to get some money back is beyond awesome. Thanks for the update

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

I'm happy that you were able to receive some of the money recovered, if I was to guess the person slipped up and put it on an exchange from the wallet you transferred the BTC to and sent the Tx to the CPS and they were able to track who it was. And if this is the case, I'm extremely happy we are moving forward for crypto.

For anyone listening and wondering if it was Shak, I only made my guess who I'd look at with the limited evidence we saw and it seemed to point to one individual from many posts. (He seemed to be playing poker in the background)

If it was Shak or anyone else at this point it almost doesn't matter anymore as long as they do not just get a slap on the wrist and actually face real long-term consequences.

I'd do everything in my power right now to never allow the person to do this again.

People that function like Shak or someone else that did this (Again I'm making the assumption he transferred funds from a wallet to an exchange and that was traceable) these people should not have access to computers in the future, and we really need to have much stricter penalties for those scammers.

Yikes - you took a good hit to the face, too!

Good for you man - that's a real G move. You may very well have saved a couple lives there. Lots of people would've stayed on the sidelines and just recorded the event on their phone.

Weird that it's a Van Isle link to a story from the city that rhymes with fun.
Good for you! I remember doing something slightly similar for a homeless gentleman on Whyte Ave in Edmonton and it felt really good - actually, it still feels good, today.
It's weird the way some folks are wired to hop into that slop and others aren't. I can't fuckin believe how lucky I was to get out of my situation (thanks entirely to the police) and I think yours is much more severe since you had to wear some pipe. It's simply reckless upon recollection and yet, you just go get that shit done because it's the right thing to do.
Thanks for being an accountable member of society.
