Anyone thinking of mining Deeper Network (DPR) I already ordered 3 miners, I only need 1 so I might have 1 to sell on beyond at some point. The miners are on indiegogo right now for up to $500 USD. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/d...connect-pico#/ The cheapest miner is a couple of hundred dollars.
    Mining calculator here: https://dpr.deeper.network/calculator
Deepernetwork is a silicon valley startup web3 project.
The best thing about deeper network is that they want a more open internet so you get a hardware vpn / blocking device and you can set your apps to connect to different networks, want disneyplus to be on asia so you can watch Korean shows sure. Want Netflix to be set to USA it will do that too.
Im planning to stake about 30k DPR on a Mini miner which will reward me approx 32 DPR per day or at todays price thats 5$ CAD, but im most excited to be able to set my disneyplus and netflix to Korea so I can watch all their shows.

Also there is planet watch which is rewards for sharing your air quality data (miners range from $200 to 1700 USD)
The $600 miner for example rewards you 46 planets per day which is roughly ~20$ CAD per day.
    https://www.planetwatch.us/buy-a-sensors/

Theres also helium but its really hard to get a miner. You can look it up yourself the token is HNT
    https://www.helium.com/

Another one I found is Threefold which is trying to do defi cloud stuff, you can diy your own miner. I havent looked too much into this but I do have a spare computer downstairs so I might get into this one. Token is TFT
    https://threefold.io/farm

If I come across more projects I will share them here.

Nvidia released cards with "LHR" (Light Hash Rate) to stop miners and ensure those cards are only sold to gamers..
Well NiceHash just released new software that breaks that lock..

More cards can start mining and the difficulty rates are going up again! Hurrah... anyone wanna buy a RX6600?

NBMiner too, switched from Trex 80% to NBMiner for my 2 3060 LHRv2 and jumped from 38MH/s to 47MH/s now. earning still down due to crypto crash and difficulty but still making money.

You will not be able to mine etherium in about a week. GPU rigs can be moved to a different coin like rvn or something. Any ASIC systems for etherium are gonna be ewaste until someone rigs some new firmware.

Wrong. There are dozens of coins that use the eth algo.

Still going to be worthless. People don’t seem to understand how big Eth is and when it’s gone everyone is going to flip to alt currencies and drive down the rewards massively. Wouldn’t surprise me to see mining profits drop to less than a quarter when everyone shifts.

No one will know until that date. Anything thats profitable now will be what a lot of people shift to then it'll be less profitable. Likely it'll be a game of changing back and forth between a few as each take a brunt of the mining until things settle.

Exactly. The hashrate of the ETH network is leaps and bounds bigger than anything else regarding Proof-of-Work mining. I really don't know if it's going to be worth mining anything because it's likely more profitable to simply buy the coins and hold them if that's your angle than mine them. TBD of course, but unless you're running extremely efficiently I'm hesitant to think it's worth the wear and tear on your card(s) plus pay the electrical cost.

A market force is the desire to be profitable though. regardless of which coin is switched too, the miners will demand profit. Professional miners MUST profit. They can't hold and wait for coins to grow. They have overhead to cover. So the price that they demand will be the cost they want to cover.

Coins are only worth a price that is decided when the sale price matches the buy price. But the sell price has a fixed floor as miners wont take a loss. Unless adoption completely stops of alts people will still want to transact with coins.

Think about the mining industry. You think the billions of eth infrastructure out there is just going stop? Look at the 7 day graph for literally any of the minable coins.

Yeah I get that man but look at (A) the price of ETH, (B) the time in market to grow to a coin where was it was so profitable and (C) the amount of ETH trading that goes on to sustain such a vast mining population. Now all that mining power is suddenly getting dropped into a different coin.

My prediction is that any profitable coins are going switch constantly, where large mining outfits will automate this process and take anything worthwhile such that the small-scale miner / casual miners will be bumped out.

Obviously, miners want to be profitable, but there will be me a tipping point for a lot of people where they have to give it up.

I'd love to keep mining casually, so I hope someone smarter than me makes it straightforward to mine while not making $0.50/month net to roast your card.
