This sounds really good. I can't get under 200w with Trex.
I repasted and did the thermal pad upgrade on the 3080 and got the memory temps down from 104C to 90C, but GPU went up a from 49-51 to 52-54C
My current settings if anyone can critique and make recommendations, I'd appreciate your experience.

I got the efficiency right, but the power usage wrong.

    3080 - 95MH/s - 205W - 0.46MH/J - 52*C GPU, 92*C VRAM
    1070 - 24MH/s - 89W - 0.27MH/J - 50*C GPU, 61*C Hotspot.

I bought a bunch of DOGE, haha. To the moon.
I hop it was after the dip. But also, there's a crypto investing thread.

Has anyone looked into Chia mining? Thinking about offloading my GPU miners and use that cash to build some Chia miners. Get rid of the heat just in time for summer.

I have a buddy who's managed to wrangle 4 coins so far from ~20TB of space. I'm currently farming ~ 3TB and growing, with a TTW of 8 months, and 0 coins. Pools are starting up this month, but I heard you'll need to replot everything.

DeBauer just did a video on Chia mining. if you do it, make sure you get the right drives, as this can burn out a brand new SSD inside of a month.

Yeah, from what I've read, best approach is SSD for the plotting and then HDD for farming.

I'm cheap, I'm just using old HDD for plotting as well. Slightly slower, but I haven't had to spend a penny, outside of power.

4 coins on 20TB seems pretty good from what I've read on reddit. I was thinking I'd just wait till pools are live before generating the plots.

How long does it take to generate a single plot?

how much TB are you using for Chia?
    I have a couple of 2TB drives and 500GB that I could re-use.

edit: setup a chia rig, 2x 500GB HDD for OS and Temp Directory, 1x 2TB HDD for finished directory.
plotting right now, 2% for both plot.

Nice. I ordered a couple external 10TB HDD and a 1TB NVME SSD. Right now I'm testing plotting using some spare parts I had, using a 120GB SSD for my OS, a 1TB sata SSD for tmp and final location. When my externals arrive I'm going to move it from that 1TB to the 10TB, so hopefully it makes it here tomorrow. About 45 minutes in on a single plot and I'm at 8%.

I have some 500GB and 1TB SATA SSD but don't feel like using them unless this turns out to be profitable.

2 hours and both plot are at 6% now, so definitely much slower than SSD lol

I'm not actually sure. I've just been using a 500gb HDD and a 2TB HDD to fill up my 3TB in parallel. Now that it's full, i'm using the 500 to fill up my 2TB. It looks like I'm at 1/4 in 3 hours? So 12 hours/plot on a 7200rpm drive?

So at 11pm tonight it will be 25 days with my miners split between 2miner and NH and I’m at...

    1 - 1080ti on NH: $110USD
    1 - 1080, 1080ti, 3060 on 2miner: $505USD

... so ~$900CAD/month... not too shabby for $2300 worth of cards, good mining lately!

^sweet, will pay off in less than 3 months then profits then

yeah loving the mining right now, 2 1060 6GB doing 4-5CAD$/day each on NH is pretty sick.
3060ti and 3070 mining ETH on 2miners and we are earning close to 0.01 ETH/day

chia plotting with standard HDD is slow, 20hrs and 1st plot was 29% and 2nd plot 18%.
turned if off and put in 1TB SSD for temp plotting.
