Dang that sucks! Is there something on the box or SKU that indicates what you're getting exactly?

Y'know, if I ever copy the 30,000 lines of code of ethereum and make a coin, it will be based on the image of a cat. Not sure if it will be based on a Tabby cat, but it will for sure not be a black or white cat. I mean seriously, I'm reading the lines of code - and it actually mostly makes sense to me. And if the great unknown creator of Bitcoin is roughly worth about $50 Billys, and can remain unknown - might as well try.

10 millys to put a puck in a net or a ball in a basket - amateurs, you get what you pay for. Genshin Impact copied pretty much 95% of what Zelda BoW was, and it's a crazy money maker. Coding is 98% about copying and deconstructing code of the past and reassembling it with new ideas (and occassionally nothing more than binary optimizations)

Will post here the start date to mine kittycoin if successful. It might be Magenta.

Bitcoin and Ethereum both being open source - anyone has access to the code. But its not alterable as a protocol, its really impressive when you begin to unravel how it all works. If you can't alter the code - just make a new protocol.

Moved over to NiceHash OS. Spares me the pain of running Windows. Payout is not any worse than HiveOS.

    Tried the new T-Rex miner and 2x 3060 LHR v2 I'm getting combined 66-68MH/s
I was getting only 64-65MHs with NBMiner

Nice! I saw a video the other day of TRex's new unlock doing really well at 70% of normal. Is it still more economical than mining Ergo?

Is NiceHash the only option if I want to run it using Windows? Most of the others I see have their own OS and I've only got one computer and won't wanna bother with two boots.

you can create a bootable USB with NiceHash OS or Hive OS

funny enough Ergo is more profitable right now than ETH according to whattomine. just trying to hit my withdraw threshold on ETH before mining more ERG again

Still showing ETH is much more profitable for me but none of my cards are LHR so that may be why.

It's showing 30 cents more profit for Ergo vs EthHash on my OG 3070.

Have you guys been able to fairly reliably determine your $/kWh for profit calculations?

If I was to use the USB boot, would I still be able to use Teamviewer? I tend to monitor my junction mem temps a few times a day to ensure I'm at optimal hashrate while not exceeding essentially 92-93C. I would love to figure out how to make a script that references HWinfo64 memory junction temp and selects a profile on MSI AB so I don't have to do this! I assume you can install MSI AB on the boot USB? Maybe I'm not understanding how this works...

Also seems like M/E got some more FTW3 cards as I see a bunch on FB Marketplace -- Most being LHR

You should be able to run t-Rex as a stand-alone and point it to a pool. No need for nicehash/hive/etc… you won’t have all the fun metrics, but you still get some on your wallet page via pool

You might be overthinking this though. Just set a clock that doesn’t crash and gives you a decent mh/s and the bigger focus should be on withdrawal and conversion fees, and also timing when you switch to a different coin/fiat to align with the dips. One FUD event is going to erase all of this tweaking you’re doing

Wanted to share what I found from ~2 years of Enmax bills. It may be interesting or unsurprising for others who have crunched the numbers:

    - Despite our fixed kWh pricing, the Total Bill/kWh metric is not linear at all. For example, it was the same at usages of 292, 357, and 421 kWh equating to $0.21
    - Actual usage makes up only 30% of our total bill on average
    - As usage increases, generally, the percentage of the total bill attributed usage also goes up (ie: the cost of the 'Other' shit like distribution, riders, etc goes down). The crossover point for us was at a kWh of ~360. On average, every kWh adds $0.22

In the end, given our usage is not that consistent month-to-month but averages out to 350 kwh, it'll be interesting to see how the electricity usage is impacted by a single 3080 over a month. In the prompt window I'm usually using 215 - 235 W, but how that translates to monthly usage I don't know yet. I have a power meter hooked up now that I will run for 24hrs * 30 to estimate a month's usage of mining kWh.

My last was 107$ for 575 kwh so about 18.5 cents for reference. Enmax fixed at 6.69 cents.

Switched to TRex + Ethermine for a week to compare to Nicehash and overall the payout seems less despite running a higher average hashrate on T+E, more efficient (~440 vs 430) and cooler at the junction by 2C. But so far it seems like I'm getting $10 more a week on Nicehash once converted to CAD.

FYI, latest TREX allows for dual mining LHR cards to achieve 100% capacity. Eth+Ergo for example. We are so close to a full unlock. Grab your LHR cards while you can.

yeah I mined ethermine until I had 0.02 ETH, after the GAS fees I only ended up with 0.0185 (got impatient and set GAS limit to 80 GWEI).
