Hopefully the UCP kicks Kenney out and picks a real leader.

Legitimate question here, as I haven't found the info anywhere else....is this the only church that is openly defying orders?

I've only seen a United Church pastor on Global News talking about how he tells his church members to respect the orders and each other.

What about mosques or other temples? Any that are flaunting the rules?
Knox United Church pastor is all online since beginning. I have insider knowledge.

Mormons do what God intends. If only social media outed them. They're probably spreading it among the school's more than most.

Friend is a pastor, his church is mostly online, and in person following all the guidelines. Social distanced, masks all the time, marked seating, and 15% capacity.

It’s kinda funny that amongst all the hyperbole were being spoon fed, the UCP is actually doing a not bad job managing covid in Alberta. Hell of a lot better than our neighboring provinces if we want to use that as a measuring stick. I can relate to the UCP haters though, it’s like me hating Nenshi.
There are a lot of things that Kenney deserves a lot of criticism for. I don't really feel like his management of the whole pandemic is anywhere near the top of that list. It's not good, but it's not bad either.

I generally agree. The systems and policies were not in place both provincially and federally to handle a pandemic properly, and this virus did spread *very* quickly with limited data to go on. Mistakes have been made on all levels of government - but to clear, it's an exceptionally tough gig to manage the pandemic well. In the case of the Conservatives, they are also against the crazy issues surrounding oil right now too... which Notley was also subject to and also gained hatred as a result. What I find interesting from a political perspective is that while I hear a lot of Trudeau hatred from the Conservatives, the hatred towards Kenney is coming from both sides.

To please the conservatives, you have to do what they selfishly want. To please the Liberals, you just have to be Liberals.

Kenney isn't doing anything that the conservatives want when it comes to managing the pandemic. He can't be applauded without truly caving to what conservatives want and hurting us.

Oh I would agree they are doing about the least worst job of the Provinces(which doesn't make the response a good one). But going backwards on lockdowns is going to be a final straw for a number of core voters. That's just reality.

Yup, nothing says sticking to core conservative values like voting for the NDP.

    Oh. My. God.

We elected the Alberta Party. Wait, isn’t that what all the pseudo intellectuals on beyond wanted?

If you believe in an all powerful god, then the virus is simply all part of the plan.

To suspend religious service is therefore, silly. If god wants to smite or plague, then why fight it?

I don't think you need to be a pseudo intellectual to not want to vote for Kenney, Notley, or Fildebrandt. Unless you're suggesting Khan?

Oh I think people would find something to complain about Mandel

My point being, even when people get what they want in principal, they complain. Doesn’t make their desires seem particularly worth valuing.

Only a few more hours until this David Koresh wannabe tries to get past a fence.
