Peace bridge has proven to be worth the money...or well used at the very least.

Edit: I believe she also backed bike lanes, anti sprawl, east village development. Basically a lot of urban revitalization projects in recent history. This is all pretty typical for an inner city councilor. There's a pretty strong consensus this is the way city/urban planning is going - higher density, less traffic, walking friendly. Like it or not her replacement will be pushing the mostly the same agenda.

For a ped bridge it was *extremely* expensive. Like more than 5X the cost of a "normal" ped bridge. You can build a fancy, long ped bridge for about $10MM.

Also, it needed to be at least one block east, it's too close to the 10 st bridge (and yes I know why it was placed where it's placed).
