Default Best way to clean/restore plastic reservoir tanks?

Wanting to clean up under the hood of my car this off season and was wondering if anyone knows a good way to clean up and restore the plastic reservoir tanks (coolant, washer fluid etc.), be it a product or technique?

    Thanks!

If it's stained on rhe inside from the chemical colorants, then it may not be possible. Buy a new one.

If you mean dirt and grease on the outside of the tank, simple green and a dish brush?

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

I think there's an acid wash you can do to clean the stains on the inside. I just can't recall where I've seen this... I want to say ChrisFix or maybe an older episode of Wheeler Dealers.

Holy, Wheeler Dealers sucks now!! Not just because Edd is gone. They've inserted all this nonsense crap filler in place of much of the mechanical fixes.

EDIT - Might have been this:

This one isn't a ChrisFix and it's pretty poorly rated.... So, YMMV

Pretty sure every thread I've seen over the years on trying to rehab old WW fluid, brake fluid and coolant overflow bottles - has ended in tears and buying a replacement from rockauto etc
